JUNE 19 2024- The Marine Environmental Protection Group Southern Negros personnel under the supervision of CG PO2 Christi Don S Siva, conducted Information Education Campaign (IEC) at Brgy Suay Himamaylan City Negros Occidental. The activity attended with different Local Government Agencies, Volunters, Vendors, Fisher folks, and Brgy Officials of Brgy Suay, Himamaylan City Negros Occidental. An information drive regarding banning of Single-Use Plastics, Proper Waste Management and Proper Waste Disposal. In order to educate individuals especially young generations, on the negative impacts of single-use plastics to our marine environment and inculcate them that solutions to our problem on plastics rely solely on our hands. This initiative reflects a collective endeavor to enhance efforts in safeguarding the marine ecosystem from pollution and other detrimental activities.
