Kon makakita kamo sang ginapatihan nga sintomas ukon may hinala nga may RSSI sa inyo tanoman sang tubo, palihog nga magpakig-angot dayon sa City Agriculture Office ukon sa inyo assigned Agricultural Technician agud matagan sang nagakaigo nga teknikal nga bulig kag malikawan ang paglapta sang peste.

Ang inyo madali nga pagreport makabulig sa pagpanalipod sang aton industriya sang tubo kag sa pagpreserbar sang pangabuhian sang aton mga mangunguma.

🐟 Supporting Our Local Farmers and Fisherfolk! 🌾

The Local Government Unit of Sipalay, through the City Agriculture Office, continues to strengthen its market linkage program by connecting local farmers and fisherfolk directly with consumers. This initiative aims to provide better market opportunities, increase farmers' and fisherfolk's income, and ensure that the community has access to fresh, quality local products.

Today, a total of 50 kilograms of fresh tilapia were successfully sold through the City Agriculture Office, showcasing the importance of collaboration in promoting local agricultural and fishery products.

Together, let us continue to support our local producers and build a stronger, more sustainable agricultural community in Sipalay City.

SAGIP-SAKA, FFEDIS ORIENTATION And CAFC ELECTION ||

The City Agriculture Office successfully conducted the Orientation on the Sagip-Saka Program and the Farmers and Fisherfolk Enterprise Development Information System (FFEDIS), with resource persons from the Department of Agriculture – Negros Island Region, Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (DA-NIR AMAD).

The activity provided participants with valuable information on the Sagip-Saka Program, which aims to strengthen market access and support for farmers and fisherfolk, as well as the FFEDIS, an information system designed to enhance the profiling and development of farmers’ and fisherfolk enterprises.

Following the orientation, the City Agriculture Office also facilitated the election of the City Agriculture and Fisheries Council (CAFC), reinforcing the participation of the agriculture and fisheries sector in local governance and development planning.

The City Agriculture Office extends its sincere appreciation to DA-NIR AMAD for sharing their expertise and to all participants for their active involvement and commitment to advancing the agricultural sector in Sipalay City.

EMPOWERING THE YOUTH THROUGH 4-H||

The Local Government Unit of Sipalay, headed by our very supportive Mayor, Hon. Maria Gina M. Lizares, through the Sipalay City Agriculture Office, in partnership with the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist,successfully conducted the 4-H Club School-Based Orientation on June 25,2026 at Maricalum Farm School.

The activity introduced students to the 4-H Club Program, highlighting the four H’s—Head, Heart, Hands, and Health—and encouraging them to develop leadership, life skills, volunteerism, environmental awareness, and an appreciation for agriculture. Participants also learned about various opportunities that will help them grow into responsible, skilled, and empowered young leaders.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Sir Bernie L. Liboon, Schools Division Superintendent, Virgilio E. Gimongala Jr., School Head of Maricalum Farm School, and Jullie P. Josus, City Agriculturist, for their invaluable support in making this activity possible.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to our resource persons, Jose Marti Sellado, Provincial 4-H Coordinator, and Juffel Y. Belnas of YIPOA, for generously sharing their knowledge, experiences, and inspiring our youth to become active leaders and advocates of agriculture.

Finally, we thank the administration, faculty, staff, and students of Maricalum Farm School for their warm welcome, active participation, and enthusiastic support throughout the orientation.

The successful turnover of 60,000 tilapia fingerlings to the 9 Farmers’ Associations under Project LAWA at BINHI marks another milestone in supporting community-based aquaculture initiatives and promoting food security.

This activity reflects the collective effort to strengthen local fisheries development and provide opportunities for sustainable fish production within our communities.

2-DAY SUSTAINABILITY TRAINING for Project LAWA at BINHI ||

On June 2–3, 2026, the City Agriculture Office, in partnership with DSWD, successfully conducted a 2-Day Sustainability Training for the beneficiaries of Project LAWA at BINHI. The activity aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge and skills in sustaining their livelihood and community-based projects, ensuring long-term benefits for their families and associations. The training was attended by nine (9) farmers’ associations with a total of 400 farmer-beneficiaries.

Through learning sessions, discussions, and collaborative activities, participants gained valuable insights on project sustainability, resource management, and community development. The training was facilitated by the City Agriculture Office, with Sir Raul Domopoy, Project Development Officer II from the DSWD Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP), serving as the resource person. This training serves as an important step toward empowering beneficiaries and promoting resilient, self-sustaining communities.

Together, we continue to cultivate growth, strengthen livelihoods, and build a brighter future through Project LAWA at BINHI. 🌾💧

3-Day Cash-for-Training under the Project LAWA at BINHI ||

🌱💧 The 3-Day Cash-for-Training under the Project LAWA at BINHI successfully gathered 400 beneficiaries from nine farmers’ associations in Sipalay City: Nauhang Farmers Association, Nauhang RIC, MOVA, DARBA, GMSWISA, Hinablan Farmers Association, CAPFWA, Macarandan Upland Farmers and Farm Workers Association, and Dung-i Farmers Association. 👨‍🌾🌾

The activity strengthened the participants’ knowledge and skills through various lectures and trainings conducted by different partner offices and agencies:

🚨 Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) — conducted by the Sipalay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office
🌿 Nature-Based and Ecosystem-Based Solutions — conducted by the Sipalay City Environment and Natural Resources Office
🌾 Crop Production — conducted by the Sipalay City Agriculture Office
🐟 Pond Technology Management — conducted by the Sipalay City Agriculture Office- Fisheries Section
💧 Small Farm Reservoir (SFR) Orientation — conducted by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist
