As your Mayor, I fully support Sogod National High School in clarifying the circulating TikTok post.

After proper verification with PNP Sogod, DSWD, and LGU Sogod, it has been confirmed that the post did not originate from SNHS and has no connection to our school.

Let us all remain calm, responsible, and vigilant. Please avoid sharing unverified information, especially those involving safety and security. Report any concerns directly to the proper authorities.

The school administration has clarified that no such incident occurred. We urge everyone to refrain from sharing unverified information that may cause unnecessary fear and panic among our students, parents, teachers, and the community.

The Municipal Agricultural Services Office (MASO) of the Local Government Unit of Sogod, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture (DA), officially launched the KADIWA ng Pangulo Program at the Sogod Municipal Ground on July 30, 2026.

The launching marked an important step toward strengthening food security, supporting local farmers, and providing affordable and quality agricultural products to all Sogodnons. Through the KADIWA ng Pangulo Program, farmers and local producers are given a direct market where they can sell their fresh produce and other products at fair prices, while consumers can purchase essential agricultural commodities at more affordable prices.

The program aims to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers by reducing unnecessary marketing costs and promoting a more accessible and sustainable local food system. It also provides an opportunity for farmers' associations, cooperatives, and local producers to showcase and sell their products directly to the community.

The successful launching demonstrates the commitment of LGU Sogod, through MASO, in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, to promote local agriculture, empower farmers, and ensure that affordable, fresh, and quality food products are made available to every Sogodnon.

Through KADIWA ng Pangulo, the municipality continues to support the vision of a stronger local agricultural economy, empowered farmers, and food-secure communities.
