The Securities and Exchange Commission has issued Memorandum Circular No. 13, series of 2026, extending discounted filing fees to further support the growth and expansion of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

This initiative aims to reduce compliance costs, encourage business formalization, and promote ease of doing business for MSMEs nationwide.

The Implementing Rules and Regulations of RA 12254, or the E-Governance Act, was officially signed on March 24, 2026 with Usec. David Almirol Jr. (DICT), Sec. Ernesto Perez (ARTA), Usec. Willford Will Wong (DBM), Usec. Mari Grace Preciosa Castelo (PCO), Director IV Marlon Marquina (COA), and OIC Director IV Cherrie Esteban (DOH) present.

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: Wala nang Pila! DICT Pirmado na ang IRR ng E-Governance Act

Bilang katuparan sa utos ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. na pabilisin ang mga transaksyon sa gobyerno, opisyal nang nilagdaan ng Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ang Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) ng E-Governance Act, nitong ika-24 ng Marso 2026 sa Asian Development Bank (ADB) Headquarters sa Mandaluyong City.

Sa ilalim ng IRR, isusulong ang mabilis na serbisyo, simpleng proseso, ligtas na datos at transparent na serbisyong online para sa lahat ng Pilipino.

Ito na ang simula ng isang digital na pamahalaan na nakasentro sa digital na pangangailangan ng mga Pilipino.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐋𝐆𝐔 𝐒𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐝, 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐲𝐭𝐞 makes history as first in Southern Leyte to issue digital Working Permit

On March 16, 2026, the Municipality of Sogod, Southern Leyte, reached a major milestone by issuing the province's very first system-generated Working Permit via the eLGU platform. This achievement sets a new standard for digital governance in Southern Leyte, transitioning labor-related permitting from manual to a fully automated process.

Now fully operational, the Working Permit Module enhances Sogod’s existing digital suite, joining the Business Permits (BPBC), Building Permits, and Certificate of Occupancy modules. This integration creates a unified "One-Stop-Shop," ensuring faster, more transparent, and more efficient services for the local workforce.

The Local Government Unit of Sogod is pleased to inform the public that applicants who wish to apply for a Occupational/ Working Permit in the Municipality of Sogod may now experience a more efficient and streamlined process.

This milestone marks the formal transition of the LGU’s labor-related permitting system from manual to automated processing, signaling a significant advancement in the municipality’s digital governance framework.

Through this automation initiative, we aim to:

The public is hereby informed that Business-One-Stop-Shop Facility (BOSS) and BPLO office will be OPEN and will continue to provide services on Friday, March 13, 2026, despite the implementation of the 4-day workweek schedule that takes effect this week.

This arrangement ensures the continuous delivery of government services to the public and to accommodate transactions that may have been affected by the new workweek schedule.

Clients and stakeholders who wish to process their transactions with the LGU are encouraged to visit the office on the said date during regular office hours.
