The Committee on Health, headed by Hon. Marilyn Moreno, conducted a Chikungunya Fogging Activity in our community as part of our continued efforts to control mosquito populations and help prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.

Let us continue working together by keeping our surroundings clean, eliminating stagnant water, and maintaining a safe and healthy community.

The Committee on Health, headed by Hon. Marilyn Moreno, together with our dedicated Midwife Alicia Bitang, Nurse Merry Deloso, and our Active BNS & BHW's, conducted a Larvae Survey in our community to identify possible mosquito breeding sites and help prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases.

𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥, Let us all do our part by keeping our surroundings clean and free from stagnant water.

𝗡𝗨𝗧𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗠𝗢𝗡𝗧𝗛 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 of 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 was successfully held under the leadership of our Committee on Health Chairperson, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗔. 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗼.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our guest speakers, 𝗠𝗮'𝗮𝗺 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗠. 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴 (𝘙𝘏𝘜 𝘔𝘪𝘥𝘸𝘪𝘧𝘦) and Ma'am 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝗠. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗼 (𝘋𝘖𝘏 𝘕𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦), for sharing their informative and inspiring messages on the importance of proper nutrition, healthy lifestyles, and environmental responsibility. Their valuable insights reminded us that good nutrition is essential in building a healthier community.

As part of our commitment to improving community nutrition, kalabasa (squash) and eggs were distributed to the parents of malnourished children to help support their children's nutritional needs at home.

The celebration concluded with a community feeding program, where everyone enjoyed a healthy and nutritious lunch, promoting not only the importance of eating balanced meals but also the spirit of unity and sharing within our barangay.

Despite the unexpected power outage, the program was carried out successfully through the cooperation, dedication, and enthusiasm of everyone involved. It was a testament that no challenge can stop a community working together for a meaningful cause.

Thank you to all our guests, volunteers, health workers, barangay officials, and participants for making this year's Nutrition Month Celebration a success.

Together, let us continue to promote healthy eating, care for our environment, and build a healthier Barangay San Jose.

We are very pleased to share our report on PRO-Health TPA-Enabled Health Units "To Improve Citizens’ Health Seeking Behavior, Enable Transparency, Participation, and Accountability (TPA) in Health Governance" -

This G-Watch report shares the highlights from the workshop series that aimed to enable health units through Transparency-Participation-Accountability (TPA) to strengthen health and education and promotion. The workshop convened barangay-level health stakeholders, including barangay officials, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials, community health personnel and local civil society groups to form a TPA for health core group that now help push for improved health service delivery in their barangay. In particular, with local G-Watch/ PRO-Health core groups, these barangay-level health stakeholders are spearheading the pilot-testing of a feedback mechanism, a citizen charter and conduct of health education and promotion activities in their health units.

Covering 65 barangays in eight localities all over the country, the workshop series is another part of advancing PRO-Health’s reform agenda in light of its monitoring findings. In particular, it addresses the lack of functioning feedback mechanism in health units and the weak information, education and communication efforts of health units to address the low level awareness and weak health-seeking behavior of citizens. TPA addresses these gaps and concerns by turning citizens and communities from mere recipients and clients into partners and leaders who help solve problems and set the agenda.
