The Barangay Bakir community cordially invites everyone to witness and take part in the celebration of the 8th Tinapa Festival, a meaningful two-day festivity that highlights our rich cultural heritage, unity, and tradition.
As part of the pre-festival activities, a Mobile Legends Tournament was successfully held last April 19, bringing together gaming enthusiasts and fostering camaraderie among the youth. Likewise, a Libreng Tuli was conducted last April 17 in partnership with Tau Gamma Phi NVPC and Tau Gamma Phi Triskelion Bagabag Chapter, reflecting the spirit of service and community care.
The celebration will formally commence with the Diana Around the Barangay, formally opening the festivities with lively music and community participation. This will be followed by engaging activities such as the Color Fun Run and Zumbaranggay, which promote camaraderie, and excitement, complemented by raffle prizes for participants. Traditional Filipino games, including Pig Catching, Bamboo Fight, Tumbang Preso, and other cultural recreations, will also be featured, bringing back the spirit of Filipino childhood and community bonding.
A Fruit Carving Contest will showcase the creativity and artistic skills of participants, while the Tinapa Cookfest will highlight the culinary talents of the community through innovative and flavorful dishes centered on our local specialty "Tinapa". Adding to the festivity is the much-anticipated Bingo Bonanza, offering enjoyable moments and opportunities to win prizes. The highlight of the celebration, Danaya ti Bakir 2026, will showcase the grace, intelligence, and cultural pride of the candidates, reflecting the true essence of beauty and empowerment within the community.
The festival will also include cultural presentations, live entertainment, and a variety of local delicacies, particularly our signature tinapa, proudly representing the identity of Barangay Bakir. Concluding the celebration is the Misa ti Panagyaman 2026, a solemn thanksgiving mass offered in gratitude for the blessings received throughout the year.
In this regard, everyone is encouraged to join and be part of this significant occasion as we celebrate not only our traditions but also the unity and pride that bind us as one community
