In light of the recent increase in petroleum product prices brought about by escalating global tensions, public utility drivers continue to face financial challenges affecting their daily livelihoods and families.

As part of its commitment to provide immediate assistance, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) Program, conducted an offsite payout of Cash Relief Assistance (CRA) on May 15, 2026, in the municipality to extend support to affected drivers during this period of economic difficulty and transition.

The initiative aims to help ease the burden of transportation workers and reaffirm the government’s continuing support for sectors greatly affected by rising fuel costs.
