To foster a safer learning environment, Police Master Sergeant Arlene L. Tornilla of the Sorsogon City Philippine National Police, led a symposium on the Anti-Bullying Act of 2013 (Republic Act 10627) for the Grade 7 students of Abuyog National High School on Thursday.

The awareness campaign aimed to educate students on the provisions of the law and to ensure a secure and nurturing atmosphere for all learners.

PMSg Tornilla's discussion highlighted the importance of preventing bullying and promoting a positive school culture.

The initiative was further supported by Mr. Domingo G. Bobier, Jr., who delivered a talk reinforcing the school's mantra: "Ang Batang Abuyog ay may Wastong Pag-uugali."

The school head emphasized that this guiding principle should be actively practiced by every student, not just recited.

This anti-bullying campaign directly aligns with and strengthens the core values of the Department of Education (DepEd), underscoring the school's commitment to character formation alongside academic excellence.

Abuyog National High School held a short opening program for School Year 2025-2026 today.

This annual activity is done to welcome the grade 7 learners and transferees, to introduce the faculty and staff to the learners, and to orient the students to the school rules and regulations as mandated by the Department of Education.

Afterward, the advisers and the subject teachers met the students in their respective areas to discuss the classroom norms and the things that they have to go about this year.

Turning Over of Alumni Fundraising Proceeds

A total amount of โ‚ฑ27,459.00, raised during the Alumni Homecoming 2023 (โ‚ฑ20,176.00) and 2024 (โ‚ฑ7,283.00), has been officially turned over to support the procurement of instruments for the Drum and Lyre Corps (DLC) of Abuyog National High School.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Batch 2008 representative Ben P. Lacay, Alumni Secretary Maria Rhea C. Grutas, Alumni Treasurer Rosa Ereรฑo, and the rest of the officers led by Alumni President Dr. Michael L. Estremera.
