๐๐, proudly announces the official Schedule of Activities for the celebration of the municipalityโs 50th Founding Anniversary and 8th Sulagad Festival.
This yearโs celebration marks a historic milestone as South Upi commemorates its Golden Jubilee, anchored on the theme:

From August 21 to September 22, 2026, South Upi will come alive through a month-long celebration featuring a diverse array of activities that highlight the municipalityโs rich cultural heritage, Indigenous Peoplesโ traditions, sports, agriculture, tourism, youth development, environmental stewardship, community service, and local governance.
The celebration will showcase cultural performances, Indigenous Peoplesโ exhibitions, agricultural and livelihood fairs, sports competitions, trade expos, civic and educational activities, religious observances, youth programs, and community gatheringsโall reflecting the strength, resilience, and unity of the people of South Upi throughout the past five decades.
A major highlight of the festivities is the 8th Sulagad Festival, which pays tribute to the vibrant cultural traditions and identities of the Teduray, Lambangian, and Dulangan Manobo Indigenous Peoples, while celebrating the shared heritage and peaceful coexistence of the Moro and Christian communities.
Through colorful cultural presentations, traditional music and dances, indigenous arts, heritage displays, and community-centered activities, the festival serves as a celebration of identity, diversity, unity, and prideโa reflection of South Upiโs journey and its continuing commitment to inclusive and sustainable development.
As South Upi celebrates 50 years of history and progress, Mayor Helen Benito-Padua and the Municipal Government of South Upi invite everyone to join this momentous celebration and be part of a milestone that honors our past, celebrates our present, and inspires a brighter future for generations to come.
