BFP 11 CONDUCTS FLAG-RAISING CEREMONY, HIGHLIGHTS THE TRUE ESSENCE OF PUBLIC SERVICE

The Bureau of Fire Protection Region 11, under the leadership of FCSUPT RIZALDE M CASTRO, Regional Director, conducted a Flag-Raising Ceremony this morning, October 5, 2026, at the Central Parking Bay, Leon Garcia cor. Monteverde Sts., Davao City.

FSINSP FRANCES MARIE S SENDRIJAS, Chief, Human Resource Management Section (HRMS), BFP 11, served as the Troop Information and Education (TI&E) Speaker. In her message, FSINSP SENDRIJAS emphasized that public service goes beyond wearing the uniform or holding a position. She reminded personnel that every role comes with a responsibility to serve with integrity, compassion, and commitment, even when no one is watching.
She further underscored that service is not limited to responding during emergencies. It can also be demonstrated through patience, helping colleagues, taking the time to assist others, and performing even the smallest tasks correctly, knowing that these actions can make a difference in someone else's life.

โ€œMay we never lose the reason why we chose to serve,โ€ FSINSP SENDRIJAS emphasized, reminding BFP 11 personnel to remain grounded in the purpose behind their chosen profession.
She also highlighted that while people may not always remember the names of those who helped them, they will remember how they were treated when they needed helpโ€”a reminder that the impact of public service is measured not only by accomplishments and recognition, but by the lives made safer, lighter, and better through genuine service.
