Dengue surveillance was conducted in Sitio Hilltop, Camagsingalan, following the confirmation of five (5) dengue cases among residents in the area. As part of the surveillance activity, the surrounding areas of the affected households were inspected to identify possible mosquito breeding sites and other environmental risk factors that may contribute to dengue transmission. Residents were advised to practice proper garbage disposal and to prune thick vegetation to help eliminate potential mosquito breeding and resting sites.

Dengue surveillance was conducted in Sitio Baito following the reported confirmation of three (3) dengue cases among residents in the area. As part of the surveillance activity, the surrounding areas of the affected households were inspected to identify possible mosquito breeding sites and other environmental risk factors that may contribute to dengue transmission.

During the inspection, thick vegetation and overgrown bushes were observed in the surrounding areas, which may provide potential breeding and resting areas for mosquitoes, particularly during the rainy season. The need for proper clearing and maintenance of the surroundings was noted.

An inspection was conducted at a poultry farm in Barangay Caoayan in coordination with the Barangay Council of Caoayan, the Homeowners Association President, and residents of Caoayan Housing. Ang Municipal Health Office ay nagsagawa ng Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) session tungkol sa pag-iwas sa dengue sa Barangay Paitan West. Layunin ng aktibidad na mapataas ang kamalayan ng komunidad tungkol sa dengue, sa lamok na nagdadala ng sakit, sa mga palatandaan at sintomas nito, at sa mga mabisang paraan upang maiwasan ang pagkahawa.

Ipinaliwanag sa mga residente ang kahalagahan ng pagsugpo sa mga pinamumugaran ng lamok sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa 4T Kontra Dengue: Taob ang mga lalagyang maaaring pamugaran ng lamok, Taktak ang naipong tubig sa mga lalagyan, Tuyo o panatilihing tuyo at malinis ang paligid upang maiwasan ang pamumugaran ng lamok, at Takip ang mga imbakan ng tubig upang hindi ito mapangitlugan ng lamok. Hinikayat din ng IEC ang aktibong pakikilahok ng komunidad sa pagpapanatili ng malinis na kapaligiran upang mabawasan ang panganib ng pagkalat ng dengue at mapangalagaan ang kalusugan ng publiko.

In light of the ongoing African Swine Fever (ASF) threat, the Municipality of Sual organized a composite inspection team composed of representatives from the Municipal Agriculture Office, MDRRMO, MENRO, the Municipal Health Office–Sanitation Unit, the Philippine National Police (PNP), and Municipal Councilor Mherlie Osana, Chairperson of the Committee on Health, to conduct animal inspection and monitoring operations.

This initiative aims to prevent the entry of ASF-infected pigs into Pangasinan and regulate the movement of pigs leaving the province, helping protect the local swine industry, safeguard the livelihoods of hog raisers, and promote animal health and public welfare.
