LOOK: A coordination meeting was conducted between Hon. Mark O. Cojuangco, 2nd District Representative, Province of Pangasinan, represented by Engr. Jonar R. Manaois, and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) represented by RADM ROMMEL A SUPANGAN PCG, Commander, Coast Guard Fleet; CAPT MARK LARSEN N MARIANO PCG, Commander, Coast Guard District Northwestern Luzon; CAPT JOMARK U ANGUE PCG, Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Maritime Safety Services, CG-8; CAPT ROSENDO Z ABINOJA III PCG, Deputy Chief of Coast Guard Staff for Logistics, CG-4; and LCDR ERWIN ROMMEL S BARTOLOME PCG, Station Commander, Coast Guard Station Pangasinan, on 14 October 2025.

The meeting focused on development projects and plans along the Limahong Channel, including the proposed utilization of a 2,500-square meter lot in the Municipality of Lingayen, Pangasinan, intended for the establishment of a new Philippine Coast Guard Station in Lingayen.

Following the meeting, the delegation conducted an on-site visit of the proposed area to assess its suitability and strategic value for future PCG operations and facilities.

After the site visit, the team proceeded to the Office of the Municipal Mayor of Lingayen for a courtesy call with HON. JOSEFINA β€œIDAY” V CASTANEDA, Municipal Mayor of Lingayen, together with Hon. Councilor John Marc Lopez, to further discuss the same subject matter. The discussion highlighted the continued inter-agency collaboration and strong support of the local government toward enhancing maritime safety and security in the province.

The Philippine Coast Guard extends its sincere appreciation to Hon. Congressman Mark O. Cojuangco and the Local Government of Lingayen for their unwavering support and commitment to strengthening the PCG’s operational capability and presence in Pangasinan.

This collaboration reaffirms the shared dedication of all stakeholders to promoting maritime safety, environmental protection, and community service in the province.

The Philippine Coast Guard remains committed to fostering stronger partnerships with various national and local government units in upholding national security, maritime safety, and sustainable coastal development across the nation.

LOOK: In line with the monitoring of Tropical Depression β€œPAOLO”, the Coast Guard Station Pangasinan under the leadership of LCDR ERWIN ROMMEL S. BARTOLOME PCG, Station Commander, has activated its Disaster Response Group (DRG) Teams.

These teams are prepared for immediate deployment within the Area of Responsibility (AOR) to respond to possible emergencies and provide assistance to affected communities.
