How Far from a Fire Hydrant Must You Park?

If there are no other parking restrictions, you must park AT LEAST 3 METRES OR 9 FEET from the curb near a fire hydrant.

Most roads should be wide enough that you can obey this three-metre rule by parking across the street, but you should DOUBLE-CHECK FOR THE OTHER PARKING RESTRICTION before doing so.

❗Fire Safety Tips❗

Never leave the stove unattended when something is cooking.
If a fire does break out in a pot or frying pan just put the proper size lid over it to smother the fire. Do not use water or try to move the burning pan to the sink you could easily spread the fire or risk a bad burn.
