The 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion, 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, Philippine Army welcomed representatives from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) during their visit and conduct of an information drive on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) today, August 18, 2026 at Headquarters 7IB in Brgy Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of the troops on the fundamental principles of IHL, particularly the protection of civilians and persons who are not or are no longer taking part in hostilities, the humane treatment of all persons affected by armed conflict, and the responsible conduct of military operations.

The discussion also reinforced the importance of respect for human rights and adherence to the Rules of Engagement (ROE). These principles serve as essential guides for soldiers in carrying out their duties with 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭, 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 while ensuring that the use of force remains consistent with applicable laws, policies, and operational directives.

Through activities such as this, the TAPAT Battalion continues to strengthen the troops’ understanding that mission accomplishment and the protection of human life and dignity go hand in hand. Knowledge of IHL, human rights, and ROE equips soldiers to make sound and lawful decisions, particularly in complex operational situations where discipline and good judgment are essential.

The 7IB expressed its appreciation to the ICRC for sharing its expertise and for its continuing efforts to promote greater awareness and understanding of IHL among military personnel.

TAPAT Battalion remains committed to developing disciplined, professional, and responsible soldiers who accomplish their mission while upholding the rule of law, respecting human rights, and protecting the dignity of every individual.

𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍 || Patuloy na pinapalakas ng 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion, 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, Philippine Army ang pakikipag-ugnayan nito sa mga lokal na ahensya ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng coordination meeting kasama ang Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) upang masuri ang kasalukuyang kalagayan ng kapayapaan, kaayusan, at seguridad sa loob ng area of operation ng yunit na isinagawa sa Battalion Headquarters, Brgy Pigcalagan, Maguindanao del Norte, ngayong Agosto 17, 2026.

Nagsilbi ang pagpupulong bilang mahalagang plataporma upang suriin ang kasalukuyang sitwasyon sa seguridad, tukuyin ang mga posibleng banta, at higit pang mapahusay ang mga mekanismo ng koordinasyon upang matiyak ang kaligtasan at seguridad ng mga pamayanan sa nasasakupan.

Sa isinagawang talakayan, binigyang-diin ng mga kalahok ang kahalagahan ng napapanahong pagbabahagi ng impormasyon, patuloy na koordinasyon sa pagitan ng mga ahensya, at pagkakaisang pagkilos upang matugunan ang mga umuusbong na usapin na maaaring makaapekto sa kapayapaan at kaayusan sa loob ng area of operation ng yunit.

Muling pinagtibay ng 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion ang patuloy na pakikipagtulungan sa MPOS at iba pang katuwang na stakeholders upang mapanatili ang isang ligtas, mapayapa, at maayos na kapaligiran para sa mga mamamayan.

Brgy Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte — The 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion, 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, Philippine Army conducted a pre-board and deliberation for personnel undergoing Restructured and Reenlistment Service Training (RRST), in preparation for their final board and deliberation at the Division Reenlistment Office of the 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, Philippine Army yesterday, August 14, 2026.

The activity assessed the 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥’𝐬 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 for continued military service. In keeping with the Battalion’s commitment to excellence, the standards and discipline of the 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion were strictly applied throughout the pre-board process to ensure that only qualified and deserving personnel advance to the next stage.

Pormal na sinalubong ng 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion, 602nd Infantry (LIBERATOR) Brigade, 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, Philippine Army ang buong pwersa ng Task Force 92 sa isang seremonya na isinagawa sa Headquarters ng 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion sa Brgy Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte ngayong araw, Agosto 12, 2026.

Ang seremonya ay nagsilbing pagkilala sa pagdating ng karagdagang pwersa na tutulong sa mga hakbang pangseguridad ng 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division bilang paghahanda sa pagsasagawa ng 1st Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections na gaganapin sa Setyembre 14, 2026.

Malugod na tinanggap ng 602nd Infantry Brigade sa pangunguna ni Acting Brigade Commander, 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐋 𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐎 𝐍 𝐁𝐀𝐔𝐓𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀 𝐈𝐈𝐈 ang Task Force 92 at binigyang-diin ang kahalagahan ng mas pinaigting na koordinasyon, pagtutulungan, at propesyonalismo upang matagumpay na maisakatuparan ang kanilang mandato. Layunin ng Task Force 92 na mapalakas ang seguridad at koordinasyon sa mga katuwang na ahensya ng pamahalaan at makatulong sa mapayapa, maayos, at ligtas para sa publiko.

Binigyang-diin ng aktibidad ang pagkakaisa, koordinasyon, at pagtutulungan ng mga yunit ng Philippine Army upang makatulong sa pagpapanatili ng isang ligtas at maayos na komunidad para sa darating na halalan.

Ang Task Force 92 na binubuo ng mga tropa mula sa 1st Brigade Combat Team (1BCT), ay mananatili sa Headquarters ng 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion at magiging katuwang nito sa pagpapatupad ng mas pinaigting na seguridad para masiguro ang pagkakaroon ng mapayapa, organisado at ligtas na pagsasagawa ng 1st Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Parliamentary Elections.

Muling iginiit ng Philippine Army ang pangako nitong pairalin ang propesyonalismo, pagiging patas, at pagiging hindi kumakampi sa anumang partido o kandidato. 𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 || Acting Brigade Commander of the 602nd Infantry Brigade, 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, Philippine Army, COL ROMEO N BAUTISTA III INF (GSC) PA, conducted a command visit to the 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion at its Headquarters in Brgy Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte on 09 August 2026.

The command visit provided an opportunity for COL Bautista to engage with the officers and enlisted personnel of the battalion, assess its operational readiness, and gain firsthand insights into its current efforts and accomplishments, particularly in preparation for the upcoming Bangsamoro Parliamentary Election.

During the visit, COL Bautista emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline, professionalism, and operational preparedness among the troops, while upholding the values and standards expected of every Philippine Army soldier.

Meanwhile, LTC RITO A PETINGLAY JR INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion, expressed his appreciation for the command visit and reaffirmed the battalion’s commitment to fulfilling its mandate and supporting the Philippine Army’s mission within its area of operations.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 || The 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion, 6th Infantry (KAMPILAN) Division, Philippine Army joined the nationwide observance of the 𝟕𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐰 (𝐈𝐇𝐋) 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with a theme: “Pinalakas na Ugnayan at Pagkakaisa sa Pagsulong ng IHL” through a simultaneous flag-raising ceremony held at the Battalion Headquarters, Brgy Pigcalagan, Maguindanao del Norte on 03 August 2026.

The activity reaffirmed the Philippine Army’s steadfast commitment to uphold the principles of IHL and reinforced the Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) guidance that every Filipino soldier must faithfully observe and promote IHL through professionalism, discipline, and respect for human dignity, while supporting the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP) intent of sustaining a highly capable, values-driven, and mission-ready Armed Forces committed to protecting the Filipino people and advancing national peace, security, and development.

Following the ceremony, the Battalion formally welcomed its newly reported enlisted personnel through the donning of unit patches, to welcome the newly reported personnel to the home of the TAPAT Troopers and giving of birthday tokens to the August birthday celebrants, fostering camaraderie, boosting morale, and strengthening esprit de corps. The 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion remains steadfast in promoting respect for International Humanitarian Law while faithfully carrying out its mandate of ensuring peace, security, and development through lawful, disciplined, and people-centered military operations.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 || The 7th Infantry (TAPAT) Battalion conducted the 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲, symbolizing the seamless transfer of leadership and responsibility from the outgoing to the incoming Company First Sergeant yesterday, July 27, 2026 at Headquarters, Charlie Company, Brgy Macaguiling, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.

The ceremony underscored the indispensable role of Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) as the backbone of the Philippine Army. Entrusted with translating the commander's intent into decisive action, NCOs serve as mentors, disciplinarians, and leaders who shape the character, competence, and combat readiness of every soldier. Their unwavering commitment to duty ensures that military standards are upheld and that every mission is carried out with professionalism, discipline, and excellence.

The occasion also honored the invaluable service and significant contributions of the outgoing Company First Sergeant, Technical Sergeant Harold J Java while formally entrusting the incoming First Sergeant to Technical Sergeant Eddie O Frenal with the responsibility of leading Charlie Company's enlisted personnel. The turnover reflects the Battalion's commitment to leadership continuity and its confidence in the capability of its NCO corps to inspire, lead, and accomplish the unit's mission.

Pigcalagan, Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte – 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 (𝐓𝐀𝐏𝐀𝐓) 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲 (𝐊𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐍) 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐦𝐲, successfully completed the Battalion Evaluation and Certification Program (BECP) conducted from 23 June to 08 July 2026, earning an Outstanding rating with an average score of 93.25%. The achievement reflects the battalion's operational readiness, combat effectiveness, and capability to accomplish a wide range of military operations.

Throughout the 16-day evaluation, the battalion underwent rigorous assessments in command and control, intelligence, operations, logistics, communications, administration, tactical proficiency, marksmanship, and other mission-essential tasks. The evaluation team commended the unit for its professionalism, discipline, leadership, and teamwork, which contributed to its successful certification.
