DAY 1 | Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Training

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Impasugong officially commenced the Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) Training on June 30, 2026, at Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, Cagayan de Oro City. The training, which runs until July 3, 2026, aims to strengthen the capabilities of responders in conducting accurate and timely post-disaster damage assessments and identifying the immediate needs of affected communities.

The training was highlighted by the active participation and unwavering support of our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Jetaime A. Okinlay-Gumban, whose commitment to strengthening disaster resilience and preparedness in the Municipality of Impasugong continues to inspire all participants.

Through this training, participants will further develop their technical skills in damage assessment, data collection, analysis, and reporting to ensure timely, coordinated, and evidence-based disaster response operations.
Together, we continue to build a more resilient, prepared, and safer Municipality of Impasugong.

📢 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026

Today, at exactly 9:00 AM, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) Impasugong successfully conducted the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) at Kalabugao Central Elementary School.

The activity was carried out in coordination with the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (BDRRMC), Philippine National Police Impasugong, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Army, and the Rural Health Unit, demonstrating a unified commitment to disaster preparedness and community resilience.

The drill commenced at 9:00 AM and was officially terminated at 9:28 AM, highlighting the importance of coordinated response, evacuation procedures, and safety awareness during earthquake emergencies.

Following the earthquake that occurred at 7:37 AM on June 8, 2026, and was felt at Intensity III in the Municipality of Impasugong, the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Impasugong, together with the Municipal Engineering Office (MEO), conducted a Risk Assessment at Bukidnon State University (BukSU) Impasugong Satellite Campus and Impasugong Central Elementary School.

The assessment aimed to evaluate the structural integrity and overall safety of the school facilities, identify potential hazards, and determine the need for further action to ensure the safety and well-being of students, faculty, and personnel.

This activity underscores the Municipality of Impasugong’s commitment to disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and the continuous promotion of safer learning environments.
