Public service in Barangay Mebak reaches a new chapter with the formal inauguration and turnover of the newly constructed two-storey Barangay Hallβa project that reflects the continued commitment to strengthen local governance and ensure that basic services are delivered efficiently to the community.
This significant infrastructure, funded by the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government - BARMM (MILG-BARMM) and implemented in partnership with the Provincial Government of Basilan, provides a modern, functional, and dignified space where barangay officials can carry out administrative duties, respond to community needs, and coordinate programs that benefit the people of Mebak. The structure symbolizes progress, unity, and the collective aspiration to build a more service-oriented barangay.
In attendance were Gov. Mujiv Hataman, Acting Provincial Administrator Manny Muarip, Harrybert Hadjala, Assessor Yusop Musilon, Sumisip Vice Mayor Gulam Boy Hataman, Alrasheed Sakkalahul, Hanie Bud, PEO personnel, Barangay Captain Gajad I. Sawari and Comrades, and MILG Representative Junaid Dumato, LGOO II.
Their attendance reflects a strong partnership between local leaders and the Bangsamoro government in ensuring that communities like Mebak receive the infrastructure and support they truly deserve.
As the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Mebak, we celebrate this achievement with pride and gratitude. This new barangay hall is more than just a buildingβit will serve as a hub for civic engagement, youth participation, community meetings, and the efficient delivery of public services. It is a space where ideas can grow, programs can be strengthened, and initiatives for the welfare of the youth and the entire community can be realized.

With the support of our leaders and the active participation of our youth, we look forward to a future where Barangay Mebak continues to rise, develop, and lead with integrity and service.
