Tungod sa maulan-ulan nga panahon, madamo sang mga lugar ang ginabaha, kag madamo sang tawo ang nagalusong sa baha. Kahibalo ka bala nga posible ka makakuha sang sakit paagi sa baha?

Ang 𝗟𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘀 – isa ka sakit nga ginahatag sang bakterya nga “Leptospira”. Makuha ini sa ihi sang mga impektado nga hayop kag possible nga makakontamina sa lupa kag tubig. Kasagaran nga nagahalo ang ihi sang mga impektado nga hayop (ilaga, ido, kambing, baka, etc.) sa tubig baha kag lutak. Kag possible magsulod sa lawas sang isa ka tawo paagi sa pilas, mata, ilong kag baba ilabi na kung naglusong ang isa ka tawo sa baha nga wala sing proteksyon.

At the 50th Nutrition Month National Launch in Brgy. Morales, Koronadal City! DOH Assistant Secretary and National Nutrition Council Executive Director Azucena M. Dayanghirang is warmly welcomed by Vice Governor Arthur “Dodo” Pingoy, Jr., PNAO Rudy S. Jimenea, and MNAO Dr. Neil T. Crespo.

Asec. Dayanghirang highlights three vital strategies of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN): promoting healthier diets to address malnutrition and lifestyle diseases, enhancing nutrition practices through education and awareness, and ensuring access to quality health and nutrition services for all communities. These initiatives aim to build a healthier nation and improve the overall well-being of Filipinos, reflecting the theme “Sa PPAN Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat Para sa Lahat.”

Opening of Balay ni Nanay - June 14, 2024

We are thrilled to announce the official opening of the Rural Health Unit of Surallah, “Balay ni Nanay.” This milestone event was led by Mayor Pedro M. Matinong Jr. and Dr. Neil T. Crespo, marking a vital step towards providing better healthcare for our community.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to Father Romeo Subaldo of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish for blessing the facility, ensuring it is founded on spiritual strength and guidance.

This new health unit stands as a beacon of hope and care, dedicated to serving the needs of our rural population. Together, we are building a healthier and stronger community.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this initiative especially to RHU Surallah midwives and staffs and to all LGU surallah employees. We look forward to seeing the positive impact “Balay ni Nanay” will have on our community’s health and well-being.

Barangay Lamsugod has been officially declared and certified as Zero Open Defecation Grade 1 Status yesterday, June 07, 2024 after out of the 869 households across 10 puroks, 90 households have been successfully verified.

This was made possible due to the involvement all stakeholders starting from the Barangay Council led by Punong Barangay Anthony Baladjay alongside with the Barangay Midwife Mercy Grace L. Ilano, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Family Health Navigators, Barangay Sanitation Inspectors (BSIs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Purok Leaders and other Barangay Staff members.

The Provincial Verification team were composed of Sanitation Inspector IV Jose Barroquillo Jr, AAIV Lowell Sajot, Public Health Nurse Erwin Rae Mateo, RN and Project Coordinator Jerry Trulan.

On the other hand, officials from Barangay Lambontong and Barangay Lamian were also present during the evaluation in order for them to observe and get necessary inputs as part of their preparation for the respective schedules for ZOD Verification.

The verification process was facilitated by the Municipal Health Office headed by Dr. Neil T. Crespo together with the Environmental Sanitation Division composed of Jessiel A. Calanza, Aida T. Padernilla, Kassandra S. Badi and Jade P. Pallorina.

Moreover Private Secretary I Romar De Jesus attended the Feedbacking Program on behalf of Hon. Mayor Pedro M. Matinong Jr.

Barangay Talahik was declared as Zero Open Defecation (ZOD) Grade 1 Certified after 72 out of 713 Households in Barangay Talahik were evaluated and verified by the Provincial ZOD Verification Team from the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO) yesterday, June 06, 2024.

This accomplishment was made possible by the Barangay Council headed by Barangay Captain Arnold Buriel with the concerted efforts of the Barangay Midwife Shenny Mayo, Barangay Nurse Maria Theresa Golveo, Barangay Sanitary Inspector (BSI) Mary Joy Songcuya Maulas together with the Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Nutrition Scholars and Navigators.

The Environmental Sanitation Section of MHO facilitated the activity under the supervision of Municipal Health Officer Dr. Neil T. Crespo.

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) was able to serve a total of 700 beneficiaries during the conduct of Konsulta Caravan here in LGU Surallah today, June 5, 2024 at the Municipal Gymnasium.

Its primary purpose is to ensure that all Filipinos have access to affordable and adequate health care services and to provide accessible primary care services through teleconsultation. This program aims to make healthcare more accessible, especially for those who might find it difficult to visit healthcare facilities in person.

The event was also attended by representatives from various Philhealth Konsulta Providers such as Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Surallah represented by Dr. Neil T. Crespo (Municipal health officer) , Dr. Ariel B. Lagamon and Dr. Nicole Jenne Tan, The Surallah Community Hospital headed by Medical Director Dr. Judel Javelosa, Lariosa Clinic and Hospital Inc. led by Dr. Nicasio Alejandro Arjona and was assisted by Dr. Kirstie Ponte.
