The LGU Surallah, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), together with the Surallah Association of Differently Abled Person (SADAP), formalized the "Establishment of the Plastic Recycling Facility by the LGU Surallah Engaging Surallah Association of Differently Abled Persons (SADAP)" through MOA Signing Ceremony with DOST XII - PSTO South Cotabato.

The MOA Signing between DOST XII โ€“ Provincial Science and Technology Office (PSTO) South Cotabato and the SETUP and CEST Beneficiaries was successfully held at the PNHLSC Building, Brgy. Paraiso, City of Koronadal.

This partnership strengthens the commitment to supporting local enterprises, promoting science and technology, and creating sustainable opportunities for communities in South Cotabato.

Present during the activity were Municipal Mayor Pedro Matinong Jr. and MENR Officer Engr. Roldan M. Eusoya, who continue to support initiatives that promote sustainable waste management, innovation, and inclusive opportunities for the community.

The Municipal Government of Trento, Agusan del Sur paid a benchmarking visit to LGU Surallah, featuring our Sanitary Landfill Facility, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), and Eco Park.

The activity was also joined by Hon. Mayor Pedro M. Matinong Jr., who welcomed our visitors and shared his support for continuing environmental initiatives and sustainable practices in the municipality.

The visit was a great opportunity to share our programs, and practices in solid waste management and environmental management, while also learning from each other and exchanging ideas and best practices. โ™ป๏ธ๐ŸŒณ

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) continues to bring environmental education closer to the youth through the Solid Waste Management Clubโ€™s Zero Waste Recycling Activity.

Sir Dexter Indico, EMS I served as the Resource Speaker, discussing Republic Act No. 9003 and the importance of proper waste segregation and responsible waste management, while Sir Allen Tolentino, SWM Researcher and Innovation Officer, conducted a practical recycling demonstration.

The meeting served as an opportunity to coordinate, discuss important preparations, and ensure that participating barangays are ready for the final assessment of their efforts in maintaining cleanliness, environmental management, and a greener community. โ™ป๏ธ๐ŸŒฟ
