The Municipality of Surallah ranked 4th in same-day tourist arrivals and 3rd in overnight tourist arrivals among all municipalities and lone city in the Province of South Cotabato during the first half of 2026.
The figures reflect the growing appeal of Surallah as a tourism destination, as well as the intensive participation of tourism stakeholders and consistent data-gathering efforts of the Tourism, Arts, and Culture Development Center, headed by Senior Tourism Operations Officer Maylyn P. Diesto, under the administration of Municipal Mayor, the Honorable Pedro M. Matinong Jr.
Through continuous coordination with tourism establishments, attractions, communities, and other stakeholders, the Center strengthens tourism data collection and documentation, providing valuable information that supports tourism planning, promotion, and development.
For the first semester of 2026, South Cotabato recorded a total of 981,683 same-day tourist arrivals and 117,023 overnight tourist arrivals, reflecting the provinceโs continued growth as a tourism destination.
The achievement highlights the collective efforts of Surallahโs tourism stakeholders and the municipalityโs continuing commitment to strengthening its tourism industry and positioning Surallah as a growing tourism destination in South Cotabato.
