To all the participants of the 56th Charter Anniversary Celebrationโ€”the Drum and Lyre Corps, Marching Bands, Float Participants, Schools, National Line Agencies, the 54 Barangays, socio-civic and civil society organizations, business community, mining companies, and our men and women in uniform:

Dear Friends and Partners in the Celebration:

On behalf of the City Government of Surigao and the Organizing Committee of the 56th Charter Anniversary Celebration, I wish to extend my heartfelt appreciation and deepest gratitude to all of you who shared your time, talents, energy, and enthusiasm in making our Charter Day Celebration on August 31 truly memorable and meaningful, made possible through the blessings and grace of our Heavenly Father.

To our young performers and students, thank you for your discipline and hard work. To the teachers, trainers, parents, and organizers who patiently prepared our participants, thank you for your invaluable support.

To those who designed the magnificent floats, thank you for sharing your creativity and making our celebration even more spectacular.

And to all government offices, private organizations, barangays, socio-civic and civil society organizations, individuals, and, of course, our men and women in uniform who answered the call to participateโ€”thank you for being part of this milestone in the life of our beloved city.

May the memories we created together inspire us to continue working for a stronger, more progressive, and more united Surigao City.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod of Surigao City proudly joins the City Government of Surigao in celebrating the 56th Charter Day Anniversary on August 26, 2026.

The celebration commenced with a Thanksgiving Mass, followed by a colorful and meaningful Charter Day Parade, bringing together city officials, employees, various offices, organizations, and the Surigaonon community.

As we commemorate 56 years of being a city, we celebrate our history, progress, and the people who continue to contribute to the growth and development of Surigao City.
