𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥: 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧, 𝗦𝗨𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗔𝗢𝗡𝗢𝗡! 🔥🚨

According to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), 𝟭𝟬 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 which affected many households and livelihood.

Major factor is the continuing hot and dry weather due to the El Niño Phenomenon, the risk of fire incidents increases. The City Government of Surigao urges every Surigaonon to remain vigilant and take extra precautions.

Let us help prevent another fire from happening:
* Never leave candles, stoves, or open flames unattended.
* Do not burn grass, leaves, garbage, or other combustible materials.
* Check electrical wires, outlets, and connections regularly.
* Keep dry leaves, trash, and other flammable materials away from your home.
* Report damaged or sparking electrical posts immediately.
* At the first sign of smoke or fire, alert others and contact the BFP.
* Evacuate immediately and never put yourself at risk.

Fire prevention is EVERYONE’s responsibility.

Philippine Arbor Day 2026!

The City Government of Surigao through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City ENRO) in collaboration with Surigao Metropolitan Water District, Philippine Ports Authority - Surigao, the DENR - Mines and Geosciences Bureau XIII, Bureau of Fire Protection and various mining firms joined the Nation in celebrating Philippine Arbor Day 2026.

The activity took place in Parang-Parang Watershed, where 350 seedling of Duyok-Duyok (scientific name: Manilkara fasciculata) were planted for the protection and conservation of our watershed.

The activity highlights the commitment of the City Government, through the leadership of Mayor Paul Dumlao, in environmental conservation, forest restoration, and watershed protection through strong collaboration with local and national government agencies.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: Nagkahiusa an nagkalain-lain na sektor sa komunidad samtang aktibo na nisuporta sa lakang nan Lokal na Panggamhanan sa siyudad nan Surigao pinaagi sa City Environment and Natural Resources Office (City ENRO) sa gipahigayon na Coastal Clean-Up Drive isip kabahin san selebrasyon nan World Environment Day sanan Philippine Environment Month, kuman na adlaw, Hunyo 5, 2026.

Sa pagpanguna ni City ENR Officer Engr. Jose Alfonso A. Casurra, an kalihokan nagtumong na mapalig-on an environmental awareness, mapadasig an partisipasyon nan komunidad, sanan pakusgan an hiniusang aksyon sa pagmintinar nan ato limpyo sanan luwas na palibot.

Sa taghimo na clean-up drive sa lain-lain na mga barangay nan siyudad, nakolekta an 85 ka dagko na sako nan residual waste, isa ka extra-large garbage bag nan biodegradable waste, sanan pito ka sako nan recyclable materials gikan sa kilid nan mga baybayon.
