The Civil Service Commission (CSC) celebrates government agencies nationwide for stepping up to nominate their exemplary employees for the 2026 Gawad Lingkod Bayani.

This year, nominations soared by 25% to a total of 710, reflecting a growing commitment across government to honor public servants who embody Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan.

The selection process is now officially underway, with 219 regional qualifiers advancing to the next round of evaluation.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) strengthens merit-based career development through the Omnibus Guidelines on the Grant of Career Service Eligibility–Preference Rating (CSE-PR).

Under CSC Resolution No. 2600729, qualified government workers may receive additional points in the Professional or Subprofessional Career Service Examination based on their length of service and work performance.

The policy streamlines existing guidelines and expands coverage, giving more government workers opportunities to advance in the civil service.

This initiative reflects the CSC's commitment to recognizing dedication, rewarding merit, and supporting public servants' professional growth.

CSC Resolution No. 2600729 takes effect 15 days after publication in the Official Gazette or a newspaper of general circulation.
