𝐒𝐀𝐅𝐄𝐓𝐘 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐒 𝐖𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐏𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐍𝐄𝐒𝐒

All schools are enjoined to participate and conduct the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents on August 25, 2026 (Tuesday) at exactly 9:00 AM.

The drill aims to strengthen the preparedness and response of schools to active attack incidents and ensure that learners and school personnel are familiar with appropriate safety procedures.

As part of the preparations for the upcoming School Safety Drill, the School Governance and Operation Division- DRRM Section of the Schools Division Office of Surigao del Norte conducted a coordination meeting with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO)- San Francisco and the San Francisco Municipal Police Station (MPS).

The meeting focused on strengthening coordination, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and ensuring the safety and security of all participants for the upcoming drill at Balite National High School, the identified ceremonial site, scheduled on August 25, 2026 (Tuesday).

Through strong collaboration among Department of Education, local government, and law enforcement partners, we continue to promote a safe, prepared, and resilient school community.

As of 8:00 AM today, 04 August 2026, a Low Pressure Area (LPA 07f) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and is "UNLIKELY" to redevelop into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Another Low Pressure Area (LPA 08a) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a "LOW" chance of development into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Typhoon "DOLPHIN" is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).
All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.
