The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office I through the focal person on Supplementary Feeding Program in Ilocos Sur Ms. Mariella Matudio delivered the 1st batch of dry ration for the 420 day care pupils. The said commodities were received by the 21 Child Development Workers.

The LGU of Suyo through the Local Chief Executive Hon. Mario B. Subagan is thankful that our municipality is among the lucky ones who was funded for this year.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) FO I successfully conducted the pay-out on Educational Assistance to 100 beneficiaries of our municipality who underwent the rigid assessment.

Concerted efforts of the LGU through the leadership of Hon. Mario B. Subagan, the Suyo Municipal Police Station personnel, DILG through our MLGOO Madam Angelita A. Lagdamen, and the DSWD FO I representatives contributed to the efficient delivery of service.

The scarcity of fund allocated in our municipality is the reason why not all potential recipients are catered. We are hoping for fund augmentation to serve more qualified students-in-crisis.

The 2nd batch of Livelihood Assistance Grant (LAG) Pay-out was successfully conducted benefitting 87 beneficiaries funded by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD). These were eligible households who wanted to establish a livelihood project or with already existing business but then it was affected during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Mayor reiterated to the beneficiaries the essence of following the terms and conditions of the program, proper usage of the grants will be monitored hence should not be taken for granted so that the purpose which is to help alleviate incidence of poverty be achieved.

4Ps Partnership Summit 2022 were participated by the LGU Suyo Chairperson on Social Services Committee Hon. Reginald Orpilla, and staff of the MSWDO. It was an honor to receive those certificates as a tangible proof of LGU's support and harmonious working together with the DSWD in the program and services delivery and implementation.

Subagan would like to extend his utmost appreciation to the PROI RCADD led by PCOL JUGITH DEL PRADO, ISPPO PCADU led by PEMS Richard Pajo and 2nd ISPMFC, and their partner the Ayala Foundation for the relief operation conducted last August 1, 2022 at the Poblacion Post Harvest Facility. It had benefitted 200 households who were affected by the "Magnitude 7 Earthquake".
