NEGOTIATED PROCUREMENT - SAGIP SAKA (NP-SS)

SECTION 11 of the Sagip Saka Act states that national and local government agencies shall directly purchase agricultural and fishery products from accredited farmers and fisherfolk cooperatives and enterprises: Provided, that said agricultural and fishery products are necessary in the performance of their respective mandates.

Farmers and Fisherfolk Cooperatives and Enterprises (FFCEs) are encouraged to register with the FARMER and FISHERFOLKS ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (FFEDIS) to participate in the said NP-SS.
FFCEs may supply the following to NGAs or LGUs:

✅AGRICULTURAL AND FISHERY PRODUCTS- Locally-produced live, fresh, chilled, frozen and processed agricultural and fishery-based products.

✅AGRICULTURAL AND FISHERY INPUTS- Seeds and vegetatively propagated planting materials; fingerlings and fry; fertilizers, feeds, feed additives, and silage.

INTERNSHIP ALERT! 📣

The Department of Agriculture (DA)-National Organic Agriculture Program, in partnership with the DA - Agricultural Training Institute, is now accepting youth interns and farm partners applicants for the Youth Internship Program on Organic Agriculture (YIPOA) for FY 2027-2028 (Batch 5).

YIPOA is designed to instill and develop their appreciation and eagerness to organic agriculture and eventually adopt this practice as their source of income. Implemented through the Institute’s network of training centers, YIPOA is a 21-month internship program, consisting of:

a) 9-month on-farm internship with the chosen farm partner whose operation matches the proposed organic business/enterprise of the intern, and

b) a 12-month enterprise implementation.
