Tabontabon, Leyte โ May 30, 2026 โ Personnel of the Tabontabon Fire Station, under the leadership of SFO4 Alex C Cadano, OICโMunicipal Fire Marshal, successfully conducted and participated in a series of activities that highlighted their unwavering commitment to discipline, coordination, public safety, and humanitarian service.
On May 27, 2026, personnel of the Tabontabon Fire Station successfully conducted Fire Safety Lectures to various establishments in different barangays of Tabontabon, Leyte. The activity aimed to strengthen the awareness and preparedness of business owners, employees, and community members regarding the importance of fire prevention and safety consciousness in the workplace and within their respective establishments.
During the lectures, personnel discussed essential topics such as common causes of fire incidents, identification of potential fire hazards, proper housekeeping practices, safe handling and storage of flammable materials, and the significance of maintaining operational and accessible fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, alarms, and emergency exits. Participants were also oriented on the proper response procedures during fire emergencies, including evacuation techniques, reporting protocols, and the importance of remaining calm and alert during emergency situations.
The activity served as an effective platform in promoting fire safety awareness and encouraging the cooperation of the business sector in preventing fire incidents that may endanger lives and properties. Through continuous education and community engagement, the Tabontabon Fire Station remains steadfast in its mission to ensure a safer and more fire-resilient community.
In addition to the fire safety lectures, personnel of the Tabontabon Fire Station also conducted Guard Mounting and Area Polishing activities within the station premises. These activities aimed to reinforce discipline, teamwork, alertness, and operational readiness among personnel while ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and proper maintenance of fire trucks, equipment, and station facilities. Area polishing activities included the cleaning and inspection of fire apparatus, tools, and office surroundings to maintain a professional working environment and guarantee the readiness of emergency response units at all times.
These continuous efforts reflect the dedication and professionalism of the Tabontabon Fire Station personnel in delivering quality public service, strengthening community relations, and upholding the Bureau of Fire Protectionโs mandate of protecting lives, properties, and the environment.
