What makes this achievement even more meaningful is that we are once again the SOLE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE CORDILLERA ADMINISTRATIVE REGION (CAR) in the national competition.

This recognition is more than just an award. It is a testament to what we can achieve when young people come together with purpose, compassion, and commitment to serve the community.

Project Zero Hunger was born from a simple vision: no child should have to grow up hungry. Through our nutrition interventions, weekly food distribution, health services, partnerships, and continuous monitoring, we continue to work toward giving our children a healthier and brighter future.

Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Bulanao Norte, together with our dedicated Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Officials, and supportive parents, successfully conducted another round of Project Zero Hunger through the distribution of vitamins and milk and the weekly monitoring of the weight and nutritional progress of our identified underweight children.

This regular monitoring allows us to closely track each child's development, provide timely nutrition interventions, and ensure that every beneficiary receives the care and support needed to achieve a healthier future. Through the collective efforts of our community, we are transforming concern into action and making measurable progress in the fight against child malnutrition.

Together, we remain committed to nurturing healthier children, empowering families, and building a stronger, healthier Barangay Bulanao Norte—one child, one family, and one step at a time. 💚

On June 27, 2026, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Bulanao Norte successfully conducted a seminar titled “Roles of the Youth in the Sangguniang Kabataan,” held at the Barangay Hall. The activity aimed to strengthen youth awareness and participation in local governance. The seminar was graced by Atty. Errol B. Comafay as the resource speaker, who shared valuable insights on the responsibilities and impact of the youth in community leadership.
The discussion highlighted that in every generation of youth, a new hope is born anchored in the enduring words of José Rizal, “Kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan.” This served as a reminder of the vital role young people play in shaping the future of the nation.

Following the seminar, a Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly was conducted. The KK Assembly, being the highest policy-making body for the youth in the barangay, provided an avenue for citizens aged 15 to 30 to actively participate in governance. It empowered the youth to influence local policies, hold the SK accountable, and contribute to decisions regarding youth development programs and funds. During the assembly, the SK Chairman presented a comprehensive report on the programs, projects, and achievements of the SK, ensuring transparency and accountability to the youth constituents.

Subsequently, the payout of educational assistance was carried out. A total of 161 students submitted however, it had been clearly communicated beforehand that only 100 slots were available. Due to the number exceeding the allocated slots, priority was given to students who have actively participated in SK activities and initiatives. It is important to emphasize that the selection of recipients was conducted fairly and without favoritism, ensuring that the process remained transparent and based on established criteria.
