𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || Personnel of the 503rd "Peace & Justice" Combined Arms Brigade, 5ID, PA, led by CPT CLIFFORD S DAYAG (INF) PA, Brigade S7, together with CPT DEALE D BAMBICO (FS) PA, Commanding Officer of the 3rd Civil-Military Operations "Solidarity" Company, 5CMOB, CMOR, PA, conducted a courtesy call to Hon. Benigno B. Calauad, Municipal Mayor of Bagabag, and coordinated with Mr. Rolando E. Clarin, Detachment Commander of Advanced Remote Managed Security Services, Inc. (ARMSSS), at Brgy. Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya, in support of the conduct of leaflet distribution and loudspeaker operations.

The activity also served as an avenue to inform key stakeholders regarding the upcoming SALAKNIB II Exercise, a bilateral training exercise between the Philippine Army and the United States Army, which will be conducted within the area. Discussions highlighted the objectives of the exercise, anticipated troop movements, and coordination measures to ensure public awareness, safety, security, and the unhampered movement of motorists and local residents throughout the conduct of the activity.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒 || The 503rd Infantry “Peace & Justice” Brigade, 5ID, PA, with the support of the 3rd Civil-Military Operations “Solidarity” Compony, 5CMOB, CMOR, PA, and 54th Infantry “Magilas” Batallion cnducted a series of coordination and community engagement activities in Isabela in support to the SALAKNIB Exercises 2026.

Courtesy call was conducted with Hon. Alfredo “Bob” Burkley Jr., Vice Mayor of Gamu, Isabela, to coordinate on troop movements, road safety, and security measures within the municipality. The Brigade also strengthened coordination with barangay officials in Brgy. Namnama and Brgy. Salindingan, Ilagan City, ensuring effective information dissemination and community awareness.

These engagements highlight the commitment of the 503rd “Peace & Justice” Combined Arms Brigade in fostering strong partnerships with local stakeholders, ensuring public safety, and supporting the successful and orderly conduct of SALAKNIB 2026 through effective Civil-Military Operations support.

AFP Chief Inspires Star Division to Shine in Service of the Filipino People

Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. visited the 5th Infantry "Star" Division (5ID), the Philippine Army division responsible for establishing an insurgency-free Northern Luzon, on June 10 at Camp Melchor F. Dela Cruz in Upi, Gamu, Isabela.

Upon arrival, the CSAFP was welcomed by Major General Gulliver L Señires, 5ID Commander, and Brigadier General Romualdo Raymund B Landingin, 5ID Deputy Commander. The visit served as General Brawner's first testimonial review ahead of his forthcoming retirement from military service.

During his remarks, General Brawner emphasized that the division’s accomplishments are rooted in teamwork and the collective contributions of every member of the organization. “I am reminded once again that every success attributed to any command is never the work of one person alone. It is always teamwork.

The AFP Chief likewise reminded all personnel to remain steadfast in their loyalty to the country, the Constitution, and the Philippine flag, urging the Star Division to continue serving with excellence and dedication. “Continue to shine—not for yourselves, but for the communities you protect, for the Army you strengthen, for the Armed Forces you represent, and for the country we all love,” he said.

The Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) formally welcomed representatives from the Commission on Audit (COA) during the conduct of the COA Audit Entrance Conference held at NOLCOM Headquarters, Camp Aquino, San Miguel, Tarlac City on June 9, 2026.

The activity marked the commencement of the annual audit engagement between NOLCOM and the Commission on Audit (COA), aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and the prudent management of government resources. Mr. Jacob S Alfonso, Officer-in-Charge and Audit Team Leader, presented an information briefing outlining the objectives, scope, and procedures of the audit process.

In his message, LTGEN ARISTOTLE D GONZALEZ PAF, Commander, NOLCOM, expressed the Command’s full support for the audit process and emphasized the importance of integrity, transparency, and sound fiscal management in public service.

The conduct of the COA Audit Entrance Conference reflects NOLCOM’s commitment to good governance and continuous improvement, ensuring that resources entrusted to the Command are managed responsibly and efficiently in support of its mandate to safeguard Northern and Central Luzon.

Army deploys responders following destructive Mindanao quake
The Philippine Army's first responders are currently conducting disaster response and rescue operations, damage assessment, route-clearing, and other humanitarian assistance activities in coordination with the national government agencies and local government units following the destructive quake that hit parts of Mindanao on the morning of June 8.
The Army stands committed to helping ensure the safety and welfare of our quake-affected residents during this crisis.
