📍 DOT8 Mobile Accreditation Caravan in the Province of Northern Samar (4th and Final Day)

The Department of Tourism Regional Office VIII (DOT8) Accreditation Team successfully concluded the fourth and final day of the Mobile Accreditation Caravan in the Province of Northern Samar yesterday, June 12, 2026, in coordination with the Provincial Tourism Office of Northern Samar.
As part of the Department’s continuing commitment to making accreditation services more accessible and encouraging tourism enterprises to uphold quality standards, the team conducted on-site inspections of the following tourism establishments:
1. Diamond Hotel
2. Pedro Hall
3. Casa de Cinay’s
4. Maturan Pili Delicacies and Pasalubong
5. Edward’s Hill Cafe
6. Galimont Hotel
The successful completion of the 4-Day Mobile Accreditation Caravan highlights DOT8’s continuing efforts to promote quality assurance, service excellence, and sustainable tourism development across Eastern Visayas.

📍 DOT8 Mobile Accreditation Caravan in the Province of Northern Samar (3rd Day)

Another set of tourism establishments in the province was physically inspected today (June 11, 2026) by the DOT8 Accreditation Team, in coordination with the Provincial Tourism Office of Northern Samar, as part of the Department's continuing efforts to promote quality standards and service excellence in the tourism industry.

The establishments inspected were as follows:
1. Birmingham Allen Resort
2. Birmingham Event Center
3. Uma Resort
4. K-Lodge
5. Wayang-wayang Beach Resort
6. Lalaguna Mangrove Eco Park
7. Bani Beach Resort
8. Gloria Vista Marson
9. Princess Maria
10. Villa Paria Beach Resort

📍 **Day 2 of the DOT8 Accreditation Caravan in the Province of Northern Samar**

On August 10, 2026, the DOT8 Accreditation Team conducted inspections of ten (10) tourism establishments across the province as part of its continuing effort to uphold quality standards and promote excellence in the tourism industry.

The establishments inspected were:

• Narciso’s Beach Resort
• Casa Miguel
• Anberro Inn Corp.
• Pink Citti Hotel
• Northstar Hub
• Mijares Hotel (Lapu-Lapu Branch)
• Mijares Hotel (Dalakit Branch)
• Villa Noche Pension House
• FMB Traveller’s Inn and Cafe
• Somoray Park and Resort

We extend our appreciation to the Provincial Tourism Office of Northern Samar, headed by Ms. Ma. Josette G. Doctor, and its staff for their valuable support and assistance to the DOT8 Accreditation Team throughout the activity.

The Department of Tourism Regional Office VIII, in partnership with the Province of Northern Samar through the Provincial Tourism Office led by Ms. Ma. Josette G. Doctor, is currently conducting a 4-Day Mobile Accreditation Caravan to make accreditation services more accessible to tourism enterprises across the province.

As part of the caravan, an Orientation on Accreditation was successfully held today, June 9, 2026, at FMB Traveller’s Inn and Cafe, Catarman, Northern Samar, with forty (40) participants in attendance.

The activity provided valuable information on the accreditation process, benefits, and standards, empowering tourism stakeholders to enhance the quality and competitiveness of their services.

To Our Valued Tourism Industry Partners:

In line with the Department of Tourism’s continuing efforts to support the growth and sustainability of the tourism industry, the DOT, in partnership with the Small Business Corporation (SB Corporation), is implementing the Turismo Asenso Loan Program (TALP) to provide financing support to tourism enterprises. To further support this initiative, tourism establishments and stakeholders in Samar and Eastern Samar are encouraged to participate in the SB Corporation Regional Loan Application Roadshow, to be held on the following dates and venues:

Date: 10 February 2026
Venue: Melinda’s Resort and Restaurant, Borongan City
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Date: 12 February 2026
Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Venue: Baypark Hotel, Capoocan, Calbayog City

The Regional Loan Application Roadshow is organized by SB Corporation, an attached agency of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), to introduce its loan programs to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), including tourism-related businesses. A key feature of the activity is the on-site, end-to-end online registration and loan application, with same-day loan approval, subject to compliance with requirements.

All tourism establishments—including accommodation facilities, restaurants, tour operators, travel agencies, transport providers, and other tourism-related enterprises—are strongly encouraged to participate in this activity.
