In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility and environmental stewardship, the GSIS Tacloban Branch Office conducted a Coastal Clean-Up Drive on August 7, 2026, at 6:00 AM in Brgy. Baras, Palo, Leyte.

The activity brought together GSIS employees who volunteered their time and effort to help maintain the cleanliness and beautification of the community. Through this initiative, the branch demonstrated its dedication not only to delivering quality public service but also to promoting environmental awareness and community involvement.

The clean-up drive underscores GSIS Tacloban's continuing commitment to fostering a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment while strengthening partnerships with local communities through meaningful outreach activities.

Itinaas na ng GSIS ang Funeral Benefit sa ₱50,000, mula sa dating ₱30,000, upang mas masuportahan ang mga naiwang mahal sa buhay ng mga miyembro, at kwalipikadong pensyonado at retirado.

Sa nakalipas na limampu't tatlong taon, ang GSIS Batangas Branch ay patuloy na naglilingkod at nagmamalasakit sa bawat miyembro at pensionado na sakop nito.​

Sa kasalukuyan, may 80,461 miyembro at 24,283 pensionado ang masigasig na pinaglilingkuran ng 59 permanenteng empleyado at 12 ICOS personnel ng Batangas Branch Office, kasama ang Mamburao at Calapan Extension Offices, sa pamumuno ni Branch Manager Jeelady Isaac.​

*GSIS ready to grant emergency loans to members, pensioners affected by Maymay, Habagat*

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is ready to extend emergency loans to members and pensioners affected by Tropical Storm Maymay and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), once their areas are officially declared under a state of calamity.

Eligible members and pensioners with existing emergency loans may borrow up to P40,000, which will be used to settle their outstanding emergency loan balance, with the remaining amount released to the borrower. Those without existing emergency loans may avail of up to P20,000.

To qualify, active members must reside or work in a declared calamity area, be in active service and not on leave of absence without pay, have no pending administrative or criminal case, have paid premiums within the last six months prior to application, and maintain a net take-home pay of at least P5,000 after loan deductions, as required under the General Appropriations Act.

Old-age and disability pensioners residing in declared calamity areas may also apply, provided their resulting net monthly pension after loan deduction is at least 25% of their basic monthly pension.

The GSIS Emergency Loan carries an interest rate of 6% per annum and is payable over three years.

Applications may be filed anytime and anywhere through the GSIS Touch mobile app, available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
