In line with the Department's continuing efforts to strengthen regulatory governance and improve service delivery, the issuances extend the effectivity of ancillary administrative sanctions, provide revised rules on the DHSUD Regulatory Clearance System, and set new guidelines on the unbundling of the time of completion for subdivision projects, ensuring more efficient regulatory processes and timely project completion and delivery.

𝗕𝗜𝗥 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗗𝗛𝗦𝗨𝗗 𝗩𝗜𝗜𝗜 𝗙𝗢𝗥 "𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗪𝗦 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗦" 𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗘𝗦

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) Regional Office (RO) VIII held the second leg of "Brews and Benefits: Decoding Your Deductions," a practical lecture series on government benefits and payroll contributions on August 3, 2026.

This follows the initiative's first leg, held last July 6, 2026, which addressed contributions and benefits under the Social Security System (SSS), PhilHealth, and the Landbank of the Philippines, as well as a Health and Benefits Caravan held last July 23, 2026.

The session invited resource speakers Ms. Jennifer M. Barrientos and Mr. Leroy M. Tallo from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), who walked participants through the practical aspects of tax-related deductions from their salaries. Key topics discussed included compliance requirements, payment processing, and other BIR-related concerns, equipping DHSUD RO VIII personnel with a clearer understanding of how these deductions factor into their overall compensation.

Through this initiative, DHSUD RO VIII demonstrates its dedication to the welfare of its personnel, ensuring that every employee is well-informed and empowered to better understand and manage their statutory contributions and deductions.

WHAT’S NEW IN THE HOUSE. In compliance with the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development ( ), through its key shelter agencies (KSAs), ordered the implementation of a moratorium on housing loan amortizations for qualified beneficiaries in areas affected by the enhanced southwest monsoon, Tropical Storm Luis and Typhoon Maymay.

WHAT’S NEW IN THE HOUSE. Continuous monsoon rains did not stop the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development ( ) and the Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC) in holding the ceremonial awarding of Transfer Certificates of Title (TCTs) to member-beneficiaries of two community associations in San Pedro, Laguna under President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino ( ) Program.
