“TCPO-PS3 BUSTS STREET-LEVEL DRUG PERSONALITY IN NORTHERN TACLOBAN”
NEW KAWAYAN, TACLOBAN CITY— Drug enforcement Unit personnel of Tacloban City Police Office, Police Station 3 led by PLT ARCHIBALD C BALAIS under the supervision of PMAJ KEMY G BAS, Station Commander, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 8, successfully apprehended a street level individual in a buy-bust operation conducted on the evening of September 4, 2026, in Northern Tacloban.
Suspect was identified as alias “Per", 35 year-old, male, and a resident of Tacloban City
Confiscated from the suspect possession and control are the ff; (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu (subject of sale); Five (5) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu (possession); One (1) piece coin purse color black and the buy bust money.
In strict adherence to standard procedures, all confiscated items were immediately marked and inventoried at the scene in the presence of required witnesses. The suspects and evidence were then brought to TCPO Police Station 3 for documentation and further processing. The suspected illegal drugs will undergo laboratory examination at the Regional Forensic Unit 8.
PMAJ BAS emphasized, “Illegal drugs threaten not only public safety but also the future of our families and communities. That is why TCPO-PS3 will continue to act decisively against individuals involved in the illegal drug trade. We will strengthen police visibility, intensify lawful operations, and work hand in hand with our stakeholders to prevent the spread of illegal drugs. Northern Tacloban deserves communities where people can live safely, peacefully, and free from the menace of illegal drugs.”
A criminal complaint is being prepared against the suspect for violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
