𝐋𝐏𝐏𝐎 𝐍𝐀𝐁𝐒 𝟕 𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐍𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐓 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒
𝐊𝐔𝐓𝐀 𝐊𝐀𝐍𝐊𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐎, 𝐒𝐀𝐍 𝐉𝐎𝐒𝐄, 𝐓𝐀𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐁𝐀𝐍 𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 – The Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO), under the leadership of PCOL CELERINO M SACRO JR, Provincial Director, successfully apprehended seven (7) wanted persons in separate manhunt operations conducted on September 2, 2026, through the efforts of Palo Municipal Police Station (MPS), led by PLTCOL ROLANDO S RELENTE, Officer-in-Charge; Santa Fe MPS, led by PMAJ ANTONIO M ANGCAY JR, Officer-in-Charge; Merida MPS, led by PMAJ RONALD D ESPINA, Chief of Police; Dulag MPS, led by PCPT CLARO ANTHONY D FRANCISCO, Officer-in-Charge; Tanauan MPS, led by PCPT RAFFY E CAJEFE, Officer-in-Charge; Mayorga MPS, led by PLT GLENN P CHAVERO, Officer-in-Charge; and Isabel MPS, led by PLT SERGIO M LLANETA III, Officer-in-Charge.
In Palo, alias “Bella,” 38 years old, self-employed and a resident of Brgy. Salvacion, Palo, Leyte, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for violation of Section 4 of Republic Act No. 10175, or the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, with bail fixed at ₱48,000.00. In Santa Fe, alias “Mico,” single, a laborer and a resident of Brgy. Cutay, Santa Fe, Leyte, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for two (2) counts of R**e, with bail fixed at ₱200,000.00.
In Merida, alias “Ogie,” 48 years old, a driver and a resident of Brgy. Masumbang, Merida, Leyte, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Homicide, Serious Physical Injuries and Damage to Property, with bail fixed at ₱30,000.00. In Dulag, alias “Nonoy,” 41 years old, with a live-in partner and a resident of Brgy. San Jose, Dulag, Leyte, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Slight Physical Injuries, with bail recommended.
Meanwhile, in Tanauan, alias “Ponyo,” 20 years old, self-employed and a resident of Zone 5, Brgy. Cabuynan, Tanauan, Leyte, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Theft, with bail fixed at ₱6,000.00. In Mayorga, alias “Tonyo,” 36 years old, a laborer and a resident of Brgy. Bonifacio, Mayorga, Leyte, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Frustrated Murder, with bail fixed at ₱10,000.00. In Isabel, alias “Kyle,” 21 years old, a construction worker and a resident of Sitio Kabato-an 1, Brgy. Honan, Isabel, Leyte, was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for “Robbery in an Uninhabited Place or in a Private Building,” with bail fixed at ₱48,000.00.
All arrested persons were informed of the nature and cause of their arrest and apprised of their constitutional rights in a language known to and understood by them. They were subsequently brought to their respective police stations for documentation and proper disposition prior to their turnover to the appropriate courts.
“I commend our operating units for their dedication and effective coordination in serving these Warrants of Arrest. We remain firm in our commitment to uphold the rule of law and ensure that wanted persons are brought before the proper authorities,” said PCOL SACRO JR.
The Leyte Police Provincial Office remains steadfast in intensifying its campaign against wanted persons and other law violators through sustained intelligence gathering, focused manhunt operations, and strengthened coordination among police units and partner agencies, in support of the Philippine National Police’s thrust, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”
