Samar is subdivided into three (3) provinces (Northern, Eastern and Samar - the mother province). Leyte on the other hand is subdivided into two (2) provinces, Leyte and Southern Leyte. Across the mainla

nd is the island province of Biliran. Each of these provinces offer various unique experiences to every travelling Juan. They offer urban amenities amid enchanting rural setting. The region’s climate is tropical. Majority of the locals here speak the Waray-Waray dialect. The region remains relatively unspoiled and under-the-radar compared to other tourist destinations in the Philippines, but this is slowly changing. With its picturesque rugged coasts and landscapes, secret kitchens, caves, and waterfalls, to fascinating histories, Eastern Visayas is sure to captivate every tourist’s adventure-hungry soul.
