24 August 2026 — In celebration of the 32nd TESDA Anniversary (“Husay, Tibay at Tagumpay”), the TESDA Regional Training Center – Tacloban and TESDA Automechanic Training Center recently held the Liga ng TESDAhanon Sportsfest.

The event promoted teamwork, discipline, and wellness among trainees and personnel. Demonstrating Husay, Tibay, at Tagumpay on and off the court, the TESDA Automechanic Training Center scholars proudly clinched the basketball championship! 🏀🥇

24 August 2026 - The Arteche National Agricultural School (ANAS) is set to conduct a Basic Computer Literacy Training for personnel of the Municipal Government of Oras, following the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the two institutions.

The MOA was previously signed by ANAS Vocational School Administrator Dr. Renato T. Picana and Municipal Mayor Roy Ador, and witnessed by officials and personnel from LGU Oras and ANAS.
The partnership aims to strengthen the digital skills of LGU Oras personnel, equipping them with practical knowledge in basic computer operations, productivity applications, file management, internet use, and other essential digital competencies.

The initiative reflects the shared commitment of ANAS and LGU Oras to capacity building, workforce development, and improved public service delivery.

Through partnerships such as this, ANAS continues to bring quality technical-vocational education and training closer to communities and help address emerging skills needs in the workplace.

Happy National Tech-Voc Day, mga ka-TESDA! 🇵🇭💙

Today, TESDA marks its 32nd anniversary, celebrating more than three decades of bringing quality technical-vocational education and training closer to every Filipino.

This year’s celebration carries the theme “Husay. Tibay. Tagumpay.” — a tribute to the skills, resilience, and determination of every Filipino who continues to learn, grow, and pursue a better future through TVET.

The celebration is in line with Republic Act No. 7796, or the TESDA Act of 1994, and Republic Act No. 10970, which declares every 25th of August as “National Tech-Voc Day”, which was signed in 2018.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Secretary Kiko Benitez, patuloy na pinapalakas ng TESDA ang TVET at pinalalawak ang mga oportunidad para sa mga kababayan nating gustong matuto, umasenso, at magkaroon ng mas magandang kinabukasan.

Empowering young lives through skills and learning! TESDA–Balicuatro College of Arts and Trades, through TESDA Trainer April Joy A. Ebdane, Dressmaking NC II, conducted an Occupational and Livelihood Skills Training for the residents of the DSWD Home for Girls (HFG) in Pawing, Palo, Leyte from August 17 to 21, 2026. The five-day training was participated in by 33 girls, together with DSWD-HFG personnel, providing them with hands-on learning experiences in practical and creative livelihood skills.

The training covered Tote Bag Making, Scrunchie Making, and Introduction to Pencil Skirt Making. The participants learned about the materials and tools, basic pattern preparation, fabric cutting and sewing, assembly, and finishing techniques in making big and small tote bags. They were also guided through the basic processes of scrunchie making, while the Introduction to Pencil Skirt Making provided them with foundational knowledge on measurements, pattern preparation, cutting, and basic sewing procedures.

More than creating useful products, the activity aimed to help the girls develop confidence, creativity, patience, self-discipline, and practical life skills that they can carry with them as they move forward. TESDA–BCAT is grateful for the partnership with DSWD Home for Girls in providing meaningful opportunities for learning, personal growth, and future livelihood development. Together, we continue to empower learners through skills that inspire confidence, self-reliance, and hope for a better future. Sa TESDA, Kayang-Kaya!

On August 25, 1994, Republic Act No. 7796, or the TESDA Act of 1994, was signed into law, marking the beginning of TESDA’s journey in bringing quality technical-vocational education and training closer to our kababayans.

For 32 years, we have seen how skills can open doors, create opportunities, and help our kababayans build better lives. With the theme “Husay, Tibay, Tagumpay,” we celebrate every learner, worker, and Filipino who continues to improve their skills, face challenges with determination, and work toward success.

Sa bawat Pilipinong nagsisikap, natututo, at nangangarap, patuloy nating pinatutunayan na kayang-kaya nating harapin ang mga hamon, paghusayin ang ating kakayahan, at abutin ang tagumpay.
