On 09 April 2026, the Tactical Operations Group 8, under the leadership of COL MICHAEL JOHN E SAMBRANO PAF (GSC), participated in the 84th Araw ng Kagitingan Commemoration held at the Tacloban City Hall Grounds. Representing the Group Commander, the Assistant Deputy Group Commander, together with selected TOG 8 personnel, joined the solemn observance in honoring the heroism, courage, and sacrifices of our Filipino veterans and fallen heroes.

The commemoration served as a meaningful tribute to the enduring legacy of bravery and patriotism demonstrated by those who fought for our freedom. It also reminded every Filipino of the importance of preserving the values of courage, unity, and love of country for future generations. Tactical Operations Group 8 remains steadfast in supporting national commemorations that strengthen patriotism, historical awareness, and our shared commitment to service and nation-building.
