TRUST BETRAYED: HOUSEMAID, CARETAKER FALL IN ₱4.69-MILLION THEFT CASES

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a housemaid and a caretaker in separate operations in Quezon City and Manila after they allegedly stole luxury items and cash from the residences where they were entrusted to work.

In Barangay Nayong Kanluran, Quezon City, Masambong Police Station 2 (PS2-QCPD) arrested a 19-year-old female housemaid after her employer discovered the disappearance of six luxury watches, 43 pieces of assorted jewelry, and ₱500,000.00 in cash, with a combined estimated value of ₱4.5 million.

During the investigation, the suspect allegedly admitted taking the valuables and turning them over to an unidentified man waiting outside the residence aboard a ride-hailing vehicle. She claimed that she was deceived into believing that her employer had figured in a car accident and that the valuables were urgently needed for medical expenses. Police are reviewing CCTV footage and pursuing leads to identify the other individual involved and recover the stolen property.

In a separate operation in Barangay 163, Tondo, Manila, Jose Abad Santos Police Station (PS7-MPD) arrested a 28-year-old male caretaker for allegedly taking cash from his employer’s residence. A witness reportedly caught the suspect taking money from a cabinet inside the complainant’s room, leading to his immediate arrest. Police recovered ₱20,000.00 from his possession, while another ₱170,000.00 intended for electricity payment was discovered missing.

Both suspects face complaints for Qualified Theft under Article 310 of the Revised Penal Code. The Manila suspect was informed of his constitutional rights and underwent mandatory medical examination before being brought to the Manila City Prosecutor’s Office for the filing of the appropriate complaint.

PNP NETS BARANGAY CHAIRMAN, 2 OTHERS IN VISAYAS ILLEGAL FI****MS RAIDS

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested three male suspects and recovered five illegal fi****ms, a fragmentation gr***de, and assorted am******on in separate operations across the Visayas from September 1 to 3, 2026.

In Samar, RTF “KAMURAYAW,” together with the Samar Provincial Intelligence Unit, 1st Samar Provincial Mobile Force Company, and Sta. Margarita Municipal Police Station, implemented a search warrant in Brgy. Mabuhay, Sta. Margarita, on September 1. The operation resulted in the arrest of alias “Naldo,” 38, Filipino, a barangay chairman, and the recovery of one .45 caliber pistol with two magazines containing 13 live rounds and one M16 r***e with a defaced serial number and a magazine loaded with 20 live rounds of 5.56 am******on.

Alias “Naldo” failed to present documents authorizing the lawful possession of the .45 caliber pistol. The search warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court of Calbayog City on August 24, 2026, and the suspect was arrested for violation of Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Am******on Regulation Act.

In Iloilo, the CIDG Regional Field Unit 6 Special Operations Team, together with the CIDG Iloilo Provincial Field Unit, CIDG Iloilo City Field Unit, and territorial police units, implemented a search warrant in Brgy. Jibolo, Janiuay, on September 2. The operation led to the arrest of the male subject of the warrant and the seizure of a .45 caliber pistol, .38 revolver, 12-gauge homemade sh***un, magazines, and am******on.

In Capiz, the CIDG Capiz Provincial Field Unit, with the Provincial Intelligence Team of Capiz, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Provincial Intelligence Unit of the Capiz Police Provincial Office, and territorial police unit, conducted a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Banica, Roxas City, on September 3. The operation resulted in the arrest of another male suspect and the recovery of a .45 caliber pistol, a fragmentation gr***de, magazine, and am******on.

The three suspects failed to present the required permits or licenses to own and possess fi****ms, while the seized fi****ms were not duly registered with the Fi****ms and Explosives Office of the Philippine National Police. The arrested suspects and recovered items were brought to the appropriate police units for documentation, proper disposition, and legal proceedings.

“Every illegal fi***rm removed from circulation reduces the opportunity for these weapons to be used in violence and other crimes. We will keep pursuing cases like these through lawful operations and make sure that violators are held accountable,” PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said.

3-YEAR MANHUNT ENDS: NATIONAL MOST WANTED PERSON IN R**E CASE WITH ₱130K REWARD ARRESTED

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a National Most Wanted Person wanted for r**e, ending nearly three years of evasion after the 23-year-old suspect was located in Porac, Pampanga on September 4, 2026.

The male suspect, a solar panel installer and resident of Barangay Palat, Porac, Pampanga, was apprehended by operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office Regional Intelligence Division (NCRPO-RID) by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Angeles City, Pampanga. He was identified as a DILG Most Wanted Person and No. 10 Provincial Level Most Wanted Person of Pampanga, with a monetary reward of ₱130,000.00.

The case stemmed from an alleged r**e committed on February 5, 2023, during a birthday gathering at the suspect’s residence in Barangay Anunas, Pampanga. The suspect and the victim, who were friends, had been drinking alcoholic beverages during the gathering when the alleged incident occurred.

The suspect was arrested the following day by personnel of Anunas Police Station but allegedly escaped from police custody in March 2023. He fled to Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City, where he stayed at his grandfather’s residence for about a week before returning to Pampanga and moving between different areas to evade authorities.

During his period of evasion, the suspect allegedly obtained construction-related work and later assisted in solar panel installation. He was also provided accommodation at a rest house in Barangay Palat, Porac, which eventually became his temporary residence.

The manhunt intensified through nearly a month of intelligence gathering, surveillance, social media exploitation, technical analysis, and validation. Operatives initially pursued information that placed the suspect at a construction site in Mabalacat, but he had already left the area. The teams then tracked leads connected to his family and checked several possible locations in Angeles City and Pampanga before finally establishing his presence in Barangay Palat.

After nearly two days of sustained surveillance and casing operations, the operating teams proceeded to the identified location and arrested the suspect by virtue of the standing warrant. The Return of the Warrant of Arrest is being prepared for submission to the issuing court for proper disposition.

“Running from the law for years does not erase accountability. We will remain relentless in locating wanted persons and bringing them before the courts to face the charges against them,” PGEN Nartatez said.

NATIONWIDE WARRANT OPERATIONS NET 15 MOST WANTED PERSONS

The Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested 15 wanted persons in separate operations conducted across several regions from 8:00 AM on September 3 to 8:00 AM on September 4, 2026, reinforcing its continuing efforts to implement court-issued warrants and support the orderly progress of criminal cases.

In Zamboanga City and Zamboanga del Sur, police arrested a No. 3 wanted person facing a r**e case in Zamboanga City, followed by a No. 8 wanted person in Pagadian City, also facing a r**e case. In Zamboanga City, another No. 9 wanted person was arrested for r**e, while in Zamboanga Sibugay, a No. 4 wanted person was arrested in connection with cases involving qualified r**e of a minor and sexual assault.

In Agusan del Sur, a No. 6 wanted person was arrested in Esperanza for two counts of statutory r**e. In Surigao del Sur, a No. 1 wanted person was arrested in Lianga for acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act No. 7610. Meanwhile, in Eastern Samar, police arrested a No. 3 wanted person facing a statutory r**e case.

In the Cordillera Administrative Region, a No. 4 wanted person was arrested in Lagawe, Ifugao, for two counts of statutory r**e. In Cebu City, police arrested a No. 1 wanted person facing an attempted murder case, with bail recommended at ₱120,000.00.

In the Davao Region, police served warrants against a No. 4 wanted person facing nine counts of qualified r**e and a No. 3 wanted person facing a syndicated estafa case. Both were located at custodial facilities when the warrants were implemented.

In the National Capital Region, a No. 10 wanted person was arrested in Mandaluyong City for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. In Cavite, police also arrested a regional-level Most Wanted Person for violation of Section 5, Article II of the same law. The latter warrant carried no recommended bail.

The PNP said the operations were carried out through coordinated efforts of police units in the respective areas, with arrested persons placed under the custody of the appropriate police or custodial facilities for documentation and proper disposition. The arrests were undertaken pursuant to warrants issued by the courts, with bail conditions determined by the courts where applicable.

₱147.4-M SUSPECTED MA*****NA KUSH INTERCEPTED IN SUBIC SEAPORT OPERATION

Nearly 100 kilograms of suspected Ma*****na Kush worth an estimated ₱147.48 million were intercepted in a joint seaport interdiction operation in Subic, underscoring the continuing efforts of law enforcement agencies to prevent dangerous drugs from reaching communities.

The operation was conducted at about 6:05 p.m. on September 2, 2026 at the Subic Bay Yacht Club by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Customs, and other participating units.

During the inspection of a yacht, a PDEA Narcotic Detection Dog indicated the possible presence of dangerous drugs. This led authorities to an area where 89 plastic bags containing suspected Ma*****na Kush were discovered.

The seized substance had a total weight of approximately 98,322 grams and an estimated standard drug price of ₱147,483,000.00. The items are currently under the custody of the PDEA Regional Office 3 Laboratory Section for documentation, laboratory examination, and proper disposition.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the seizure highlights the value of coordinated action, particularly at ports and other entry points where illegal drugs may be transported.

“This is about staying alert and working together. Hindi natin kailangang hintayin na makarating sa mga komunidad ang illegal drugs bago kumilos. When agencies coordinate early and act within the law, we have a better chance of stopping the problem at its source,” PGen Nartatez said.

EASTERN VISAYAS’ 4TH AND 5TH MOST WANTED PERSONS FOR R**E FALL IN LUZON

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested two Regional Most Wanted Persons of Region 8 for r**e in separate operations conducted in Quezon Province and Caloocan City on September 3, 2026.

First arrested was alias “Gino,” a 21-year-old Filipino male construction worker and No. 5 Regional Most Wanted Person of Region 8. He was apprehended at Buenaventura Alandy National High School in Barangay Ibabang Bukal, Tayabas, Quezon Province, by virtue of a warrant of arrest for R**e under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, with no bail recommended.

Later that day, alias “Ben,” an 18-year-old Filipino male and No. 4 Regional Most Wanted Person of Region 8, was arrested in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. He was likewise apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for R**e under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, with no bail recommended.

The arrests were carried out by personnel of the Regional Intelligence Division–Regional Special Operations Unit 8 (RID-RSOU-8), together with the Area Counterintelligence Section of the Regional Intelligence Division, NCRPO (ACS-RID, NCRPO), in coordination with the Biri Municipal Police Station and other concerned police units. Intelligence gathering, verification, surveillance, and sustained information-sharing enabled the police to track and confirm the whereabouts of the two wanted persons despite their presence outside Region 8.

Following their arrest, both individuals were informed of the nature and cause of their arrest and apprised of their constitutional rights in a language known to and understood by them. They were subsequently brought to the ACS-RID, NCRPO custodial facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, for documentation and proper disposition.

₱300K PHONE DEAL UNMASKS MAKATI ROBBERY PLOT: CHINESE NATIONAL, 2 OTHERS COLLARED

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a Chinese national and two Filipino suspects after an alleged robbery attempt during a ₱300,000.00 cellular phone transaction in Makati City on September 3, 2026.

The suspects were identified as alias “Lulu,” a 27-year-old Chinese national and resident of Pasay City; alias “James,” 19; and alias “Leif,” 24, both residents of Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City.

The victims met the suspects for the scheduled cellular phone purchase along Amorsolo Street. During the transaction, the suspects allegedly forcibly took one of the victims aboard their vehicle, prompting the other victim to pursue them and call for police assistance. Responding officers intercepted a black Ford Territory and a silver Toyota Fortuner, leading to the arrest of the three suspects before they could leave the vicinity.

Police recovered a Ta**us 9mm pistol loaded with seven live rounds of am******on and a caliber .38 revolver loaded with three live rounds. Also seized were assorted license plates bearing different plate numbers, cellular phones, personal belongings, two heat-sealed transparent sachets containing approximately 1.8 grams of suspected shabu, and two glass tubes with suspected drug residue.

The suspects underwent mandatory medical examination before being brought to the Makati City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. Complaints for Attempted Robbery, violations of Republic Act No. 10591 or the Comprehensive Fi****ms and Am******on Regulation Act, Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, Republic Act No. 4136 or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code, Grave Coercion, and Usurpation of Authority or Official Functions were referred for appropriate proceedings.

“Police officers must remain vigilant and decisive when criminal activity threatens public safety. BUKIDNON SEES ANOTHER STEP TOWARD PEACE AS INSURGENT SURRENDERS

The Philippine National Police, under the leadership of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., recorded another voluntary surrender in Bukidnon on September 3, 2026, as an insurgent chose to abandon the armed struggle and return to the folds of the law.

The latest development comes just days after the PNP featured the August 26, 2026 surrender of another insurgent in San Fernando, Bukidnon. In that earlier case, alias “Math/Saudi,” a Periodic Status Report-listed member of the dismantled Guerrilla Front 89, surrendered and turned over an improvised 5.56mm revolver loaded with four rounds of am******on.

In the latest surrender, alias “Tonton,” a 38-year-old married male and member of the Milisyang Bayan of Guerrilla Front 68, Sub-Regional Committee 4, North Central Mindanao Regional Committee, voluntarily yielded to government authorities at the 1004th Maneuver Company (MC), Regional Mobile Force Battalion 10 (RMFB 10) Headquarters in Barangay Tagbak, Talakag, Bukidnon.

He surrendered one improvised sh***un and two rounds of 12-gauge am******on. The surrender was facilitated by personnel of the 1004th MC, RMFB 10, together with the Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Unit and Bukidnon Provincial Intelligence Team.

Alias “Tonton” is now under the custody of the 1004th MC for custodial debriefing and individual profiling, while the surrendered fi***rm and am******on remain secured by the same unit for proper documentation and disposition.

The latest surrender underscores the sustained efforts of government authorities in Bukidnon to encourage members of armed groups to abandon violence and embrace a peaceful and lawful life. ₱3.2M WORTH OF SUSPECTED SMUGGLED GOODS SEIZED IN SOUTHERN LEYTE, SULU

The Philippine National Police (PNP) seized more than ₱3.2 million worth of suspected smuggled petroleum products and ci******es in separate anti-smuggling operations in Southern Leyte and Sulu on September 3, 2026, resulting in the arrest of two individuals and the recovery of 21 master cases of suspected smuggled ci******es.

In Sogod, Southern Leyte, personnel of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Southern Leyte Provincial Field Unit and Sogod Municipal Police Station arrested two individuals, both of legal age and Filipino nationals, during an operation at around 5:30 p.m. The operation resulted in the seizure of 10,000 liters of diesel, 5,000 liters of premium gasoline, and 14,000 liters of unleaded gasoline, with a combined estimated market value of ₱2.18 million.

Meanwhile, in Pangutaran, Sulu, police personnel recovered 21 master cases of suspected smuggled ci******es valued at approximately ₱1.029 million during an anti-smuggling operation. The items were found abandoned and were brought to the police station for proper disposition and subsequent turnover to the Bureau of Customs.

Chief PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the operations demonstrate the importance of sustained police presence and coordination in protecting communities and legitimate businesses from the effects of illegal trade.

The operations form part of the PNP’s continuing implementation of its Focused Agenda under Enhanced Managing Police Operations (EMPO), strengthening police efforts to address activities that affect public order, lawful commerce, and community welfare. These efforts are likewise consistent with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s commitment to uphold law and order while protecting legitimate economic activity.

The arrested individuals and recovered items are under police custody for appropriate legal proceedings, while the seized ci******es in Sulu are being prepared for turnover to the Bureau of Customs for proper disposition.

Through sustained enforcement, inter-agency coordination, and responsive police operations, the PNP continues to protect communities and legitimate commerce in support of a Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.
