The Filipino Brand of Service Excellence (FBSE) Training for the employees of Sila Island Resort in San Vicente, Northern Samar gathered 35 participants, focusing on the values and standards of delivering quality tourism service.

Facilitated by FBSE Trainer Ms. Emily Jill Nival, the session highlighted genuine Filipino hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence, providing employees with practical insights they can apply in creating warm, courteous, and memorable experiences for their guests.

The Course on Front Office Operations for Northern Samar’s Hospitality Sector gathered 51 participants at Ibabao Hall, Provincial Capitol, Catarman, Northern Samar, focusing on practical skills for efficient and guest-centered front office service.

Facilitated by Dr. Freddie Quinito, DOT National Trainer, the two-day course covered common front office situations through real-life scenarios and discussions, as well as Bell Service Assistance, Front Desk Procedures, and Information, Mail, and Key Assistance.

The training provided participants with practical knowledge on handling guest requests, mail and packages, key assistance, and guest information, helping them carry out essential front office responsibilities with greater confidence and professionalism.

𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗺 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀

The second batch of the Tourist Driver as Tourism Frontliner Seminar brought together 50 participants from 10 DOT-accredited tourist transport operators on 4–5 September 2026 at Hotel Rodolfo, Tacloban City.

The seminar continued to highlight the vital role of tourist drivers as among the first points of contact for visitors. Through practical sessions and discussions, participants gained knowledge and insights to enhance their service delivery and create positive experiences for tourists traveling across Eastern Visayas.

Facilitated by Mr. Romano D. Del Rosario, Tourism Trainer, the sessions emphasized professionalism, courtesy, and genuine Filipino hospitality—qualities that help ensure a warm and welcoming experience for every visitor.

Day 2 at the 37th Philippine Travel Mart was another day filled with meaningful connections, engaging conversations, and exciting opportunities to showcase the best of Eastern Visayas.

A highlight of today’s activities was the Eastern Visayas Regional Product Presentation, where we shared the region’s distinctive tourism offerings, experiences, and destinations with travel industry partners and visitors—inviting them to discover more to love in Eastern Visayas.

Our tourism stakeholders also continued to engage with travelers, tour operators, and industry partners, strengthening connections and creating opportunities to promote the region as a must-visit destination.

From product presentations to face-to-face engagements, Day 2 was all about putting Eastern Visayas on the map and inspiring more travelers to experience our region’s Infinite Escapes.
