DICT Sultan Kudarat officially kicked off Day 1 of the Digital Literacy Training tailored for the dedicated 𝕍𝔸𝕎ℂ (𝕍𝕚𝕠𝕝𝕖𝕟𝕔𝕖 𝔸𝕘𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕤𝕥 𝕎𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕟 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕋𝕙𝕖𝕚𝕣 ℂ𝕙𝕚𝕝𝕕𝕣𝕖𝕟 employees of Tacurong City! 💻✨

The program opened with a warm welcome from𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝑶𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒓 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐫. 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐚-𝐕𝐨𝐧 𝐌. 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐧, who emphasized that digital upskilling is no longer just an option, but a vital necessity in the modern workplace. We are moving closer to a more digitally secure and efficient Sultan Kudarat! The DICT Sultan Kudarat team successfully conducted the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 (𝐏𝐍𝐏𝐊𝐈) 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫’𝐬 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠, coupled with a rollout of the 𝐞𝐆𝐨𝐯 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐩𝐩, for the dedicated personnel and leadership of the 𝙏𝙀𝙎𝘿𝘼 𝙇𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 (𝙋𝙏𝘾-𝙇𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙤𝙣𝙜).

The DICT Sultan Kudarat Provincial Field Office successfully conducted a Digital Literacy Training on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Canva, along with a Cybersecurity, PNPKI and eGov Super App Orientation for barangay secretaries and municipal staff of Kalamansig. The activity was held from April 20–22, 2026 at the Multi-Purpose Building of the Municipality of Kalamansig.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mayor Ronan Eugene C. Garcia for the opportunity to serve as resource speakers throughout the training and orientation. Your support plays a vital role in empowering local government personnel.

On behalf of DICT Region XII – Sultan Kudarat Provincial Field Office, headed by Engr. Alla-Von M. Balabagan, we sincerely thank all participants for their active engagement and enthusiasm.

There’s no better way to end the month of March than by launching something big and exciting!

Yesterday, March 31, 2026, the 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑾𝒊-𝑭𝒊 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑨𝒍𝒍 was officially launched at 𝑴𝒂𝒈𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒔𝒂𝒚 𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒌, 𝑻𝒂𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒚 marking a major step toward a more connected and future-ready community. 💻

This initiative is made possible through the strong partnership between LGU Tacurong and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Region XII and Sultan Kudarat Provincial Office, bringing accessible internet to students, teachers, athletes, park-goers, and visitors in one of the city’s most loved public spaces.

During the program, DICT Sultan Kudarat Provincial Officer 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. Alla-von M. Balabagan shared the rationale of the project highlighting its technical aspects, how to easily connect, as well as important reminders on the responsible use of the free Wi-Fi service.

Also, the CEO of Wireless Link Technologies, Inc., 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. 𝗥𝗮𝗹𝗽𝗵 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗱𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗻 graced the event. He assured the public of a reliable and smooth internet connection, emphasizing their commitment to maintain the system and address any connectivity concerns.

The DICT Regional Director 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗿. Ibrahim B. Guiapar Jr. reaffirmed the agency’s strong partnership with LGU Tacurong, expressing continued support for the city’s future initiatives. He also shared his personal connection to Tacurong, as the place where he began his career making the project even more meaningful.

Meanwhile, City Mayor 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗢. 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮 extended her heartfelt gratitude to DICT and all partners for making the project possible, highlighting that this initiative is a significant step toward the city’s goal of becoming a smart city.

The event was also attended by representatives from the DOST Provincial Office, Military and Bureau of Fire departments, LGU officials, and DICT personnel showing a united effort in bringing digital services closer to the people.
