Binigyang-diin ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang mahalagang na papel ng inobasyon sa pambansang kaunlaran sa ginanap na Presidential Filipinnovation Awards (PFA) National Competition Awarding Ceremony.
Upang mapabilis ang komersyalisasyon at maiwasang maantala ang mga makabagong tuklas, itinaas ng administrasyon ang suporta sa mga nagwagiโโฑ3 milyon cash grant at โฑ1 milyon mentorship package mula sa mga eksperto.
Bilang bahagi ng Philippine Development Plan 2023โ2028, iginiit ng Pangulo na ang inobasyon ay haligi ng pambansang pag-unlad. Hinikayat niya ang mga lokal na siyentipiko, mananaliksik, at mga malikhaing Pilipino na makipagtulungan sa pamahalaan sa pagtugon sa mga sistemikong hamon gaya ng food security, climate resilience, at energy supply.

President Bongbong Marcos underscored the critical role of innovation in national development during the Presidential Filipinnovation Awards (PFA) National Competition Awarding Ceremony.
Highlighting groundbreaking local entriesโsuch as the University of the Philippines' Immersive Gamification Technology System (ImGTS) for pediatric rehabilitation and Pili AdheSeal Inc.'s internationally recognized Pili Sealโthe President emphasized that government support is vital for transforming grassroots ideas into scalable, real-world solutions.
To accelerate commercialization and prevent promising inventions from stalling, the administration has increased the winner support package to a PHP 3 million cash grant paired with PHP 1 million in expert mentorship.
Framing innovation as a core pillar of the Philippine Development Plan 2023โ2028, President Marcos urged local scientists, researchers, and creators to partner with the government in tackling systemic challenges including food security, climate resilience, and energy supply.
