🇵🇭 Regular Weekly Flag Raising Ceremony 🇵🇭
The Office of the Environment and Natural Resources (OENR) conducted its Regular Weekly Flag Raising Ceremony on July 13, 2026, in accordance with Administrative Order No. 02, Series of 2026: to ensure the efficient conduct of the weekly Flag Raising Ceremony, promote cost-saving measures and the prudent use of government resources, while maximizing employee participation and maintaining the uninterrupted delivery of public service. This schedule will be observed every second to fifth Monday of the month.

𝐂𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐀 𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐘 | 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐚 𝐆𝐫𝐢ñ𝐨, Tacurong City. Through the initiative of our very own Mayor Lina O. Montilla, PhD, the City Government of Tacurong successfully brought essential government services closer to the people through the City Hall sa Barangay held at Barangay Virginia Griño.
Residents were able to conveniently access various programs and services offered by different city offices. The Office of the Environment and Natural Resources (OENR) actively participated by distributing compost soil and flower seedlings to residents, promoting environmental awareness, sustainable gardening, and a greener community.
This initiative reflects the City's commitment to delivering quality public service and fostering environmental responsibility, making government programs more accessible to every barangay.

In celebration of Environment Month in June 2026 and in response to a request for technical assistance, the DENR EMB XII conducted ambient air quality monitoring at the Tacurong City Hall Grounds. Using an Environmental Beta Attenuator Monitoring (EBAM) from June 15–16, 2026, the assessment evaluated air quality within an approximate 400-meter radius—an area proximate to local schools and heavy traffic. Based on the Air Quality Index (AQI), concentration result falls under "GOOD" category. This classification means that air pollution poses little to no risk to human health, making it safe for outdoor activities for the general population, including sensitive individuals including children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions.

Simultaneous Bamboo Planting along Katungal Creek traversing 9 barangays in the City of Tacurong in celebration of Philippine Environment Month. A short program held at Brgy. EJC Montilla was graced by Hon. Lalaine J. Montilla, Chairperson on the Committee on the Environment. She delivered the message on behalf of City Mayor Lina O. Montilla, PhD, who was attending an equally important event. A total of 1,000 bamboo seedlings were planted across nine barangays, including 300 seedlings planted along the creek in Brgy. EJC Montilla.🎍🌳🌴

The Local Government Unit of Tacurong City, led by Mayor Lina O. Montilla, PhD, conducted its regular Monday Flag Raising Ceremony on June 15, 2026, sponsored by the Office of the Environment and Natural Resources (OENR).

In observance of Philippine Environment Month, the program highlighted the importance of environmental stewardship through clean-up drives, tree-planting activities, and the preservation of natural resources, including the historic Katungal Creek.

The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) also announced that 120 student beneficiaries will participate in the Special Program for the Employment of Students (SPES) for a 20-day employment period.

The ceremony likewise featured the oath-taking and recognition of Atty. Den Perry D. Decretalez, MPA, reflecting the city's continued commitment to public service, youth development, and sustainable progress.

Provided logistical assistance to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (CDRRM) Office during the loading and transportation of relief goods for earthquake victims in Sarangani Province.
