The successful conduct of the 1st Semester Barangay Assembly Day and the State of the Barangay Address (SOBA) of Punong Barangay Rhea A. Paez was held at the Barangay Covered Court.

The activity served as an avenue to present the accomplishments, ongoing programs, and future plans of the barangay government, ensuring transparency and accountability to the community. Residents actively participated, showing their continued support and cooperation in achieving a more progressive and united Barangay Dacul.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who attended and contributed to the success of this important gathering, especially to our valuable guest/Resource speaker, DILG Field Officer MLGOO Mrs. Anna Lisa Daguinod , Pcpt. Baltazar C. Cepeda Jr. (Officer in charge of Taft MPS) And his subordinate, Mr. Maximo A. As of (Nov. 3, 2025) 10:30 pm 60 families (188 individuals) evacuated to the different identified evacuation Centers of the Barangay (Old and new barangay hall, private houses, Day care center, Dacul Elementary School).

📌 𝐁𝐃𝐑𝐑𝐌𝐂 𝐄𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦 "𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐎"

To prepare for the potential impacts of Tropical Storm Tino, the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Barangay Dacul convened an emergency meeting today under the direction of Hon. Rhea A. Paez.

After the meeting the Council conduct house to house information dissemination to the houses nearby coastal area to evacuate immediately.

📢 𝙋𝙐𝘽𝙇𝙄𝘾 𝘼𝘿𝙑𝙄𝙎𝙊𝙍𝙔!

In line with the advisory issued by the Philippine Coast Guard – Coast Guard Station Eastern Samar, all fishermen, boat operators, and coastal residents of Barangay Dacul are strongly advised to take necessary precautions and prepare for the possible impact of Typhoon “TINO”.

Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals (TCWS) 1 are raised, all sea travel are strictly prohibited, especially for small fishing boats and other light watercraft, due to the anticipated rough to very rough sea conditions.

All residents, especially those living near the coast, are urged to:

Secure their homes and fishing equipment;

Refrain from going out to sea or engaging in fishing activities;

Stay alert and continuously monitor official updates from PAGASA, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), NDRRMC, and Local Government Units (LGUs); and

Follow instructions from barangay officials for our own safety.

This advisory is issued for the safety and protection of all residents. Let us remain vigilant and cooperative during this period of possible severe weather.🙏

In line with the celebration of the 122nd Founding Anniversary of the Municipality of Taft, the Local Government Unit of Taft will conduct the Basura Balyo Bugas Program on October 16, 2025, at the Municipal Plaza.

Participants are encouraged to bring properly compacted plastic bottles filled with clean and dry plastic waste materials in exchange for rice. This program aims to promote environmental consciousness and community participation in proper waste management while providing tangible benefits to the people.
