August 28, 2026 | The Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) officially kicked off the Basketball Tournament for provincial government employees in celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

August 27, 2026 | The Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office (PHRMDO) of Bohol conducted a Pre-Retirement Seminar (Batch 2) at Kew Hotel, Tagbilaran City. The seminar aimed to assist retiring employees of the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) in preparing for their upcoming transition and separation from the government service. It provided participants with essential knowledge on retirement benefits, concerns, and the importance of proper planning to help them make sound decisions for their retirement.

August 20, 2026 | The Provincial Government of Bohol kicks off the Pickleball Tournament for provincial government employees, marking the start of the Ball Games in celebration of the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary.

As the event organizer, the Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office (PHRMDO) spearheaded the tournament, bringing together provincial government employees in a friendly competition. The tournament will be played among the different clusters, with participants representing the Development Administration Cluster, Legislative Cluster, Finance Cluster, Economic Cluster, Health Cluster, Social and Environmental Cluster, and Infrastructure Cluster, promoting camaraderie, sportsmanship, and wellness among participants.

June 8–9, 2026 | PHRMDO Mid-Year Assessment and Planning Workshop

The Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office (PHRMDO) conducted its 2026 Mid-Year Assessment and 2027 Operational Planning Workshop at the Panglao Vista Suites, Dao, Dauis, Bohol. The two-day activity included the discussion of the Strategic Governance Road Map 2028, presentation and critiquing of section accomplishments, review of the 2026 Operational Plan, and planning for 2027, including the Office’s Annual Investment Plan (AIP) for 2027.

It also featured a brief orientation on the Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA), Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Act, Refresher Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) and an Open Forum to discuss office issues, concerns, and possible actions.

As part of the activity, PHRMDO also recognized employees and sections for their active participation and timely performance, including the Early Bird Employees, Top 3 Sections with Timely Submission of Accomplishment Reports, Top 3 Quiz Scorers, the Winning Group in the Games during the Socials, and the Best Dressed Participants.

The activity provided an avenue for PHRMDO personnel to assess accomplishments, align plans, address concerns, and strengthen the Office’s commitment to effective and efficient public service.

August 13, 2026 | A Civil Service Coordination Meeting was held to discuss plans and guidelines for the upcoming set of activities for the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) and Civil Service Month Celebration. Composed of Cluster Heads and PCSA Coordinators from various responsible departments and offices of this Provincial Government, this meeting was held to ensure that decision-making on the guidelines is responsive to the concerns of all PGBh departments and offices, as well as to streamline the information and resolutions for the body towards a successful and organized celebration that promotes camaraderie and unity among all PGBh employees.

August 12–13, 2026 | The Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Office (PHRMDO) conducted a two-day Training on Records Management for PGBh employees who are holding Administrative Aide positions and are performing recording and filing functions.

The training aimed to enhance participants’ knowledge and skills in records management and promote systematic, organized, and efficient records-keeping practices. It covered Introduction to Records Management, File Structuring Planning, Records Disposition Administration, and Formulation of a Records Management System.

Congratulations to all participants for successfully completing the training and for their commitment to the improvement of records management in their respective offices!

The Provincial Government of Bohol extends its warmest congratulations to the 38 newly hired and promoted Capitol employees who officially took their oath of office on August 10, 2026.

Governor Aris Aumentado administered the oath-taking ceremony at the Governor’s Office.

The activity marked an important milestone for the employees as they begin a new chapter and take on greater responsibilities in their careers in public service.

The activity fully supports the Capitol’s continuing commitment to strengthen its workforce by placing competent and dedicated professionals in key positions to ensure efficient, responsive, and quality public service delivery to Boholanos.

The initiative aligns with the PGBh’s Strategic Governance Roadmap, advancing good governance, institutional development, and efficient public service toward a smart, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable Bohol, a UNESCO Global Geopark.
