𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: Coast Guard Station Western Bohol commended CGSS Getafe and CGSS Buenavista for their successful joint 𝑺𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒄𝒖𝒆 (𝑺𝑨𝑹) 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒐 𝒂 𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒔𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒅 𝑯𝒐𝒃𝒊𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒕 16 𝒔𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒃𝒐𝒂𝒕 within the vicinity waters off Brgy. Tugas, Getafe, Bohol on 17 August 2026.

SAR team immediately mobilized for the joint SAR operation utilizing an LGU motorbanca and successfully located the capsized sailboat, rescued Mr. Belic (an American national), and safely towed the vessel to the Fish Landing at Brgy. Poblacion, Getafe, Bohol. Upon arrival, the rescued individual was successfully turned over to the MDRRMO Getafe for immediate medical assistance and evaluation.

Through their exceptional maritime rescue skills and swift response, the operating units highlighted the Coast Guard's unwavering dedication to preserving life at sea, earning distinct credit for the organization and exemplifying its finest traditions.

𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 to 𝐂𝐆𝐒𝐒 𝐓𝐚𝐠𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧 and 𝐇𝐒𝐑𝐁-𝟎𝟏𝟔 for a successful Search and Rescue (SAR) operation! 🛥️⚓️

The joint team successfully responded to a motorbanca reported dead in the water within the vicinity waters off Maribojoc, Bohol, on 31 July 2026. Job well done!

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: 𝐏𝐂𝐆 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐈𝐧𝐜. (𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐕) successfully held an oath-taking ceremony and information drive for 30 new members from the Province of Bohol presided over by 𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐌 𝐉𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐌 𝐔 𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐀 𝐏𝐂𝐆 (𝐑𝐄𝐓).

The event was witnessed by Acting Station Commander of CGS Western Bohol, 𝐋𝐓𝐉𝐆 𝐁𝐀𝐁𝐄 𝐉𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐄 𝐁 𝐈𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐀 𝐏𝐂𝐆, and was held at CGSWB Mess Hall today, 10 August 2026.

Additionally, the event was attended by a representative from the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office (PVAO) – Bohol, 𝐌𝐬. 𝐌𝐚 𝐈𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐫𝐢.

PRACV aims to cater to all PCG pensioners and retirees across Central Visayas by providing moral and financial support, including medical and burial assistance, to help alleviate the burdens of its members.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The Coast Guard Command Center - Central Visayas successfully conducted a Troops Information and Education (TI&E) regarding the Mandatory Cascading on 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞 𝐎𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 (𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐎𝐏𝐒) Knowledge for all personnel of Coast Guard Station Western Bohol today, 10 August 2026 at CGSWB Office, K of C Drive, Poblacion II, Tagbilaran City.

This capability-building initiative is designed to strengthen the operational proficiency and technical competence of frontline responders in maritime distress tracking and incident management. By cascading advanced SAROPS knowledge down to station and sub-station level personnel, the command ensures a more synchronized, precise, and rapid response framework for maritime search and rescue operations across the region.
