Rooted in a tradition of 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞, SCS continues a legacy built not only on recognition, but on the meaningful impact it creates for the senior community.

Last August 1, Arabella Alfarero and Maya Marie Timario represented the Society of College Seniors (SCS) during the 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭 (𝐂𝐎𝐀) 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

Continuing the learning journey, Princess Lynn Sue Alas and Charlene Hazel Paler represented the organization during the 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬' 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 on August 15.

And with new things learned along the way, there’s surely more to bring into what comes next.

From preparation to performance, our graduating students continue to take meaningful steps toward their professional journey. The 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 (𝐒𝐂𝐒) successfully conducted 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 02 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐜𝐤 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 for the First Semester, creating an avenue for graduating students to practice their communication skills, strengthen their confidence, and gain valuable experience in a professional interview environment.

This batch featured aspiring healthcare professionals from the 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 program. 🎓 Their participation reflects their commitment to developing not only their technical knowledge but also the professionalism and interpersonal skills essential in their future careers.

Adding depth to the experience was our esteemed interviewer, 𝑬𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒍 𝑱𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝑽. 𝑱𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒏, 𝑹𝑴𝑻. Her professional insights, thoughtful feedback, and constructive guidance provided our seniors with a valuable perspective on how to present themselves with confidence and professionalism in an actual workplace setting. 🤍💙

The mock interview served as more than a simulation of the hiring process. It gave our students an opportunity to recognize their strengths, identify areas for improvement, and become more comfortable expressing their knowledge, skills, and aspirations in a professional setting.

Through this initiative, the SCS continues to support graduating students as they transition from the university environment toward the world of work. Every question answered, every piece of feedback received, and every lesson learned brings them one step closer to becoming confident and capable professionals.

A time to pause. A space to reflect. A journey toward renewal.

On August 28–29, 2026, the Society of College Seniors (SCS) conducted Batch 3 of the First Semester Retreat for graduating students of A.Y. 2026–2027 at the HNU Retreat House, Banat-i Hills.

Gathering graduating students from the 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲, the retreat offered an opportunity to step away from the demands of academic life and embrace moments of prayer, reflection, fellowship, and personal renewal. As they move closer to graduation and the responsibilities that come with the next chapter, the experience served as a meaningful reminder to pause, look inward, and move forward with renewed purpose.

The retreat was facilitated by Mr. Chad Anthony Mahumot, Mr. Loreto Auxtero, and Sr. Mashyll Entac, with Fr. Roberto Ebisa, SVD as the Mass Celebrant. The spiritual journey was further supported by Fr. Jaekel T. Solde, SVD, Fr. Nestor Ubalde Jr., SVD, Fr. Ernesto Salvar, SVD, and Fr. Roberto Ebisa, SVD as Confessors.

Assisting throughout the retreat were SCS Marshals Zierell Claire Donayre, Gabrielle Marie Dispo, and Kimberley Robante, whose support helped ensure a meaningful and organized experience for the participants.

A moment to reflect on the journey so far, and a renewed heart to take the next step forward.

The 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 (𝐒𝐂𝐒) officially welcomes its new term as its officers, and working committee members were recognized during 𝐂𝐒𝐎 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. With 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐳 𝐆. 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐦𝐚 and 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐫. 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐫 alongside the team, another term of SCS begins, bringing new people into a work that has always been bigger than any one term.

The faces may change, but the work carries on. What was started before is now entrusted to new hands, ready to add their own stories while keeping the SCS name moving forward.

To the outgoing officers of the Society of College Seniors (SCS), thank you for the service you gave, the commitment you kept, and the sacrifices you made along the way. There were days when serving meant giving up your time, setting aside your own plans, and showing up even when no one would have blamed you for stepping back. Yet, you stayed.🫂

Your service was not measured only by the events you organized or the responsibilities you fulfilled. It was found in the little things, the extra effort, the late nights, the problems quietly solved, and the moments when you chose the organization even when it was difficult. These are the parts of your journey that may never appear in a report, but they are the ones that made your leadership real.

As you close this chapter, may you never forget that SCS was not simply something you served, it was something you helped shape. You leave behind more than programs and accomplishments; you leave behind memories and a standard of leadership for those who come after you. And perhaps one day, when you look back, you will realize that every sacrifice was worth it because somewhere along the way, your service became part of someone else's story.

The meaningful experience was made even more enriching through the presence of our esteemed interviewers: 𝑵𝒊ñ𝒂 𝑪. 𝑨𝒄𝒖𝒛𝒂𝒓, 𝑪𝑷𝑨, 𝑴𝑷𝑨 and 𝑨𝒍𝒑𝒉𝒂 𝑳𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒎𝒂 𝑮. 𝑪𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒓𝒂. Their valuable insights, constructive feedback, and professional guidance helped our graduating students better understand what it takes to confidently step into the workplace. 🤍💙

Held at the SHS Conference Room and Collaborative Area, the activity served as a space where preparation met opportunity. Beyond answering interview questions, our seniors were given the chance to reflect on their strengths, improve their professional presence, and prepare themselves for the challenges that await beyond the university.

Behind the success of this empowering event is the unwavering dedication of the SCS officers and working committee, spearheaded by 𝙎𝘾𝙎 𝙑𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙈𝙤𝙘𝙠 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙬 – Ms. Jaide Cloma and 𝙎𝘾𝙎 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣 – Ms. Heartily Dennz Palma, alongside the rest of the passionate SCS team, whose collective effort made this initiative a meaningful and enriching experience for all participants.

On August 25–26, 2026, the Society of College Seniors (SCS) held Batch 2 of the Retreat for the First Semester Graduating Students of A.Y. 2026–2027 at the HNU Retreat House, Banat-i Hills.
