Bohol continues to strengthen public health initiatives and sustain excellence in local nutrition governance.

This was after the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh), under the leadership of Gov. Aris Aumentado, through the Provincial Health Office (PHO), was recognized as a Consistent Regional Outstanding Winner in Nutrition (CROWN) Awardee during the 2026 Grand Nutrition Awards held on August 14 at City Sports Club Cebu in Cebu City.

The CROWN Award is conferred on local government units that have earned the Green Banner Award for three consecutive years, recognizing sustained excellence in nutrition governance and program implementation.

PGBh also received the Best Provincial Nutrition page Award for its efforts in promoting nutrition initiatives and public awareness through digital platforms.

The awards underscored the province's sustained commitment to improving nutrition outcomes, strengthening local nutrition programs, and advancing community health across Bohol through the leadership of the PHO and its nutrition partners, who continue to implement initiatives that support healthier families and communities.

Aligned with the Capitol's Strategic Governance Roadmap, the recognition reinforces Bohol's commitment to responsive governance, public health excellence, and inclusive development as a UNESCO Global Geopark.

These awards would not be possible without the dedication of our Provincial Nutrition Council, LGUs, BNS, nutrition workers, partner agencies, and stakeholders. Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Dr.Fruserma Mary A.Uy-Department Head/PHO, Ms.Glenda Grafilo- Provincial Nutrition Program Coordinator, Nutritionists-Dietitians of PHO,DNPCs, Provincial Health Office, Most of all, thank you to our Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado Erico Aris Aumentado for his strong support and leadership in advancing nutrition in Bohol.

Our heartfelt thanks to NNC Region VII and RNET7 for recognizing and supporting our efforts. Above all, thank you to everyone who believed, contributed, and worked together toward a healthier Bohol.
