The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bohol joins the Province of Bohol and the City Government of Tagbilaran in commemorating National Heroes Day this August 31, 2026, at the Rizal Monument, Plaza Rizal, Tagbilaran City.

With this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œHinubog ng Bayan, Dinuyan ng Alon,โ€ we remember and honor the courage, sacrifices, and contributions of our national heroes, as well as the countless Filipinos whose service and love for country helped shape the nation we have today.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bohol gathered local leaders, stakeholders, and field officers on August 27, 2026, at JJโ€™s Seafood Village for the Coordination Meeting on the Implementation of the C4PEACE FY 2026 Retooled Community Support Program (RCSP).

The activity provided a platform to present the program framework, highlight key objectives, and outline strategic next steps for local chief executives and Punong Barangays representing 41 priority barangays across 20 municipalities in Bohol.

The implementation process focuses on enhancing local development planning, conducting community consultations, and delivering direct interventions to address immediate and long-term needs.

Through these coordinated efforts, local government units and partner agencies work hand-in-hand to strengthen barangay-based institutions and empower communities toward sustainable development.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government issued DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2026-021. This policy directs all incumbent Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan officials to create their respective Barangay Inventory Teams (BIT) and SK Inventory Teams (SKIT) to ensure a smooth and transparent transition.

These teams will lead the comprehensive inventory and turnover of all properties, financial records, documents, and money accountabilities (PFRDs).

In observance of World Day Against Trafficking (WDAT) 2026, the Provincial Government of Bohol, alongside IACAT7-VAWC, hosted the WDAT 2026 Regional Culminating Activity on July 30, 2026, at the Bohol Cultural Center in Tagbilaran City.
Guided by this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œIisang Nasyon at Iisang Aksyon: Tapusin ang Human Trafficking Ngayon!โ€, the event kicked off with a powerful pledge of commitment: Panumpa sa Katungdan: Hugot nga Panigkamot ug Panaad Batok sa Human Trafficking led by Vice Governor Nicanor S. Besas.
The highlight of the event was honoring 42 Local Government Units (LGUs) that earned a High Functional Rating in the recent LCAT-VAWC Functionality Assessment.
Representing Regional Director Leocadio T. Trovela, Provincial Director Johnjoan A. Mende joined leaders on stage to award certificates to the awardees.

On July 23, 2026, the DILG Bohol ๐— &๐—  ๐—–๐—น๐˜‚๐˜€๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ, headed by Cluster Head LGOO VII Ma. Reina A. Quilas, successfully conducted its Cluster Meeting at the DILG Bohol Provincial Office, bringing together the Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOOs) and personnel from its 16 component LGUs to discuss updates on DILG programs, policies, and upcoming activities.

A highlight of the meeting was the ๐— ๐—ถ๐—ฑ-๐—ฌ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—”๐˜€๐˜€๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜, where the Cluster reviewed and assessed the status and accomplishments of program deliverables for the first half of 2026. The D'One Cluster successfully conducted its 7th Regular Cluster Meeting on July 9, 2026, at the DILG-Bohol Provincial Office in Tagbilaran City.

The meeting served as a venue for cluster members to share updates from their respective LGUs, discuss concerns, and align on DILG reports and deliverables, reinforcing the value of collaboration and teamwork.

A key highlight was the introduction of "Maminaw sa Clustermates" by Cluster Head Regina Gina G. Bastes. Anchored on the theme, "Let your cluster members' voices be heard and valued," the new segment encourages field officers to share their experiences, best practices, and insights to strengthen the Cluster through open dialogue and shared learning.

The Cluster also warmly welcomed the LGOO II Apprentices (Batch 60) from Cebu as they begin their 77-day field immersion, with three apprentices assigned to LGUs under the D'One Cluster.

Together, the D'One Cluster continues to foster collaboration, learning, and excellence in advancing responsive and effective local governance.
