SIKATUNA, Bohol โ€” March 25, 2026 โ€” The Bohol Provincial Tourism Office (BPTO) conducted an on-site assessment of tourism establishments in the Municipality of Sikatuna as part of its ongoing initiative to maintain and enhance the quality of visitor experiences across the province.

The activity covered selected tourist sites and accommodation facilities, focusing on operational readiness, service delivery, and adherence to established tourism standards. The evaluation aims to support local stakeholders in sustaining a reliable and visitor-friendly environment while aligning with the provinceโ€™s broader tourism development goals.

During the visit, the BPTO team was received by Municipal Mayor Justiniana L. Ellorimo, reaffirming the local governmentโ€™s support for strengthening tourism efforts in Sikatuna. The team also worked closely with Municipal Tourism Officer Designate Rofelieta L. DUERO, Bohol โ€” March 19, 2026 โ€” The Bohol Provincial Tourism Office (BPTO) conducted a tourism site and accommodation validation in the Municipality of Duero, focusing on the inspection of potential tourist attractions and accommodations as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen tourism development across the province.

DANAO, Bohol โ€” March 11, 2026 โ€” The Bohol Provincial Tourism Office (BPTO) conducted a validation and inspection activity in the Municipality of Danao covering two tourist attractions and five accommodations as part of its continuing efforts to ensure quality tourism services and uphold provincial standards.

The team assessed the condition of facilities, visitor services, and overall compliance with tourism guidelines to support a safe and satisfying experience for travelers visiting the municipality. Representatives from various BPTO divisions participated in the activity to evaluate tourism products and accommodation services.

A courtesy call was also made to Municipal Administrator Julius G. Lerion, acting on behalf of Mayor Maria Celeste Cepedoza-Lerion, and Hon. Held on December 4 at the Bohol Showcase Center, the 5th Ubi Cook-Off 2025 once again highlighted the provinceโ€™s rich culinary heritage and emerging talent. This yearโ€™s event drew participants from various backgroundsโ€”professional chefs, passionate home cooks, and students taking their first steps in the culinary field.

The competition featured three key categories: Professional โ€“ Dessert, Home Cook โ€“ Main Dish and Soup, and Student โ€“ Appetizer. Each dish reflected the creativity and dedication of participants to elevate Ubi in both familiar and imaginative ways. Judging was led by an esteemed trio of culinary experts: Chef Ella Mae L. Adano, Chef Robemin N. Veloso, and Chef Paolo Rigotti, whose insights added depth and credibility to the competition.

The event was conducted by the Provincial Government of Bohol through the Bohol Provincial Tourism Office (BPTO), with support from the Provincial Economic Enterprise Management Office (PEEMO) โ€“ Cafรฉ Caloy, coverage by the official media arm Provincial Information and Media Office (PIMO), sponsorship from Fiesta Gas by Petron, the official cooking gas and equipment partner providing stoves and gas for participants, and technical assistance from the Provincial General Services Office (PGSO), which provided the sound system for the event.

Bohol Strengthens Tourism Presence at NorthPhil Expo 2025

The Provincial Government of Bohol, together with co-exhibitor Ramyer Travel & Tour, participated in the North Philippine Expo 2025 held on October 17โ€“19, 2025, at SM City Clark, Pampanga.

Showcasing Boholโ€™s top destinations, local products, and community enterprises, the province generated โ‚ฑ210,400 in total sales during the three-day event. The participation reflects Boholโ€™s ongoing efforts to promote sustainable tourism and expand market connections across the country.

Organized by ATOCEL and PETCO, the NorthPhil Expo 2025 gathered 59 exhibitors under the theme โ€œChampioning the North, Driving Sustainable Transformation.โ€ The event highlighted regional collaboration, tourism promotion, and sustainable development through cultural showcases, travel deals, and partnership discussions.
