Government and uniform personnel, elected and appointed officials, tourism stakeholders, Bohol tour guides, SK and youth volunteers united at the Can-Undang Reservoir in Sta. Cruz, Anda, Bohol, for the BPTO Greening Program aligned with "Anda Cares" initiative.

This collaboration with LGU Anda marks another major step toward preserving the Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark as a leading sustainable eco-tourism destination.

Thank you so much, LGU Anda Bambie De Guzman, for partnering with us on this greening program!

On July 3, 126 international visitors aboard the MV Heritage Adventurer arrived at the Port of Baclayon to explore the natural and cultural wonders of the Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark.

Their geotour brought them to some of the province's most iconic geosites โ€” starting with the sweeping view of the Chocolate Hills, followed by a stop at the Philippine Tarsier Sanctuary in Corella for a close encounter with one of the world's smallest primates, then a trek through the Rajah Sikatuna Protected Landscape, home to some of Bohol's richest biodiversity.

Beyond the sightseeing, the tour gave visitors a closer look at how Bohol's geology, biodiversity, culture, and communities are all connected. As a UNESCO Global Geopark, Bohol continues to show how geological heritage can drive environmental stewardship, sustainable tourism, and a deeper sense of pride in the province's natural and cultural identity.

Welcome to the Bohol Island UNESCO Global Geopark โ€” where every journey tells the story of the Earth and the people who call it home.

TALIBON, Bohol โ€” Sandugo sa Bohol 2026 officially opened on July 4 at the Talibon Grounds, bringing Boholanos together to celebrate the province's history, culture, and shared identity.

More than a commemoration of the historic Blood Compact, Sandugo reflects the enduring spirit of the Boholano people โ€” friendship, unity, and resilience that continue to shape the province today.

As the Philippines' first UNESCO Global Geopark, Bohol's heritage isn't just in its landscapes but in the living traditions of its communities. Festivals like Sandugo help keep that heritage alive, strengthening community ties and supporting local artists and enterprises along the way.

For Bohol, being a Geopark has always meant honoring the connection between people, culture, and nature โ€” and Sandugo continues to bring that connection to life.
