The Municipality of Tago proudly celebrates its achievement of 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 for the LCPC and 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 status for the LCAT-VAWC during the CY 2026 DILG Functionality Assessments.

These milestones reflect our continued commitment to protecting children, empowering women, and building a safer and more inclusive community for all Tagon-ons.

The Municipality of Tago proudly joins the nationwide launch of Brigada Eskwela 2026, reaffirming its commitment to quality education through community participation and volunteerism.

Municipal Mayor Jelio Val C. Laurente together with local officials, teachers, parents, stakeholders, and volunteers, participated in the kick-off activity, demonstrating unity and shared responsibility in preparing our schools for the opening of classes.

This year's Brigada Eskwela highlights the spirit of bayanihan, bringing together various sectors of the community to create a safe, clean, and conducive learning environment for our learners.

The Local Government Unit of Tago extends its heartfelt gratitude to all volunteers and partners whose support continues to make this initiative a success.

The Municipality of Tago proudly celebrates the recognition received by Municipal Accountant Ms. Karen Ivy L. Tuscano during the 127th Anniversary Awarding Ceremony of the Commission on Audit (COA) held on May 26, 2026 at the EDM Convention Center, Tandag City.

Ms. Tuscano was acknowledged by the COA Provincial Satellite Auditing Office – Surigao del Sur as one of the awardees for the timely submission of the CY 2025 Financial Statements, ranking 6th among the recognized local government units in the province.
The recognition reflects the Municipality of Tago’s continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and efficient financial governance in public service.

Municipal Mayor Jelio Val C. Laurente extended his congratulations to Ms. Tuscano for her dedication and exemplary performance, emphasizing that the achievement is a testament to the hard work and commitment of the municipality’s workforce in delivering quality and responsible governance.

Public Advisory | Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1264, s. 2026, declaring Wednesday, May 27, 2026, as a Regular Holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice), work in the Municipality of Tago is likewise suspended tomorrow.
