Zonta Club of Cagayan de Oro General Membership Meeting, July 2026 - President Joy M. Gogo leads the monthly gathering at Pearlmont Hotel, Lim Ket Kai Drive. As the oldest Zonta Club in the region covering Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, and Bukidnon. The club convenes every second Tuesday to advance women's empowerment and service initiatives for Biennium 2026-2028.

The Zonta women of the Zonta Club of Cagayan de Oro believe in making the world a better place by empowering women and girls and call for the reaffirmed commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Goals for Biennium 2026-2028:

Supporting education scholarships for young women
Combating gender-based violence through awareness and support programs.
Improving maternal and child health services.
Promoting women's economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
Mentoring young professionals and future women leaders.
Advocating for legislative reforms supporting women's rights.
Strengthening community partnerships in our locality, especially in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental, and Bukidnon

The ZONTA CLUB OF CAGAYAN DE ORO , a local chapter of Zonta International, warmly invites YOU to explore becoming a member of our dynamic community of professional women committed to empowering women and girls through service and advocacy.

Membership in Zonta is by invitation or application, with acceptance subject to review and approval by the club’s Membership Committee and Board. In light of this, we are pleased to invite you to become a prospective member, given your professional background, dedication to service, and alignment with Zonta’s mission and vision.

As a Zontian, you will have opportunities to:

Participate in service and advocacy projects that benefit women and girls in our community.

The Zonta Club of Cagayan de Oro , the mother club of all Zonta Clubs in Northern Mindanao, remains a dynamic organization of professional women affiliated with Zonta International, steadfast in its commitment to empowering women and girls through service and advocacy.

On June 11, 2026, a joint installation ceremony for the Zonta Club of Cagayan de Oro and Zonta Club of Cagayan de Oro II was held at Pearlmont Hotel, with Area Director for Biennium 2026–2028, Angelita Ang, and Past Area Director Melissa F. Diawatan, 2024-2026, lending distinction to the occasion.

The strength of the club is reflected in its distinguished roster of members, including fellow Zontian Governor Juliette Uy, PAD Josephine Go, Past Presidents Violeta Rose Paras, Lina Faburada, Denvi Cabrera, Grace Go, Lily Lim, Sarah Borja, Roena Pauline Bince, Caroline Neri, and Guadalupe Chu. Alongside them are the esteemed and strong women of Zonta CDO : Daisy Tiu, Editha Olango, Nenita Tan, Judee Go-See, Gloria See, Bianca Andrea Bince, Myra Balandra, Michelle Francisco, Diane Lim, whose continued service upholds the club’s mission and vision while fostering a lasting spirit of friendship and sisterhood.

Jocelyn M. Gogo, President and CEO of PROIS International Christian School System, Inc., was formally installed as Club President for the 2026–2028 biennium. She is supported by a committed team of officers and Board members, including Zontians Julie Ang, Honey Joy Amarga, Cindy Aritrangco, and President-Elect Merlinda Rebolos.

With 26 active members, including the PROIS Z Club, the club advances under the guidance of the MAGIS Framework of Zonta District 17, Area 3—anchored in Membership, Advocacy, Governance, Involvement and Service—further strengthening its legacy of leadership and expanding its meaningful service to the community.
